Am I seeing that video right? When you first start to open the primary the secondaries close further before they start to open. It must be a problem with the linkage on the carb.

Inlet needle and seat in the carb has probably got dirt in it holding it open or the float is stuck. Make sure the battery ground to the body is good for the light problem.

There are many ways around a different IP. Anyone could sell themselves something using a different member name and IP and then give themselves good feedback so anyone would think they are legit. :banghead:

In 65 GM Pontiac and Chev used a resistor wire instead of an actual resistor to limit the current through the points. The resistor wire was bypassed for starting only.

Make sure you install the low pressure spring in the regulator for the carb setup. Since you may have put a lot of extra fuel into the engine I would check the oil to make sure it's not full of fuel. How are you installing the fuel return line?

Just a quick update on this thread. After Fireball stripped and coated my headers I have had no more troubles with the ceramic coating after one year. :D

I`m working on an EFI setup and thought about modifying one of these regulators. Your idea looks like it could work for an EFI setup too if I could find a spring with the appropriate pressure. The only thing I'm not sure of is if the original diaphragm can support the added pressure.
