    Brake Pedal Not Returning

I just want to thank everyone who posted on this thread. When I bought the '67 Valiant someone had wrapped a couple bungee cords around the brake pedal arm. I 'assumed' it had a return spring that was missing. To read that there is no return spring is awesome news for me. As a professional parts...

    Master Cylinder selection?

I ran some numbers at work (O'reilly's) and settled on one for the '90 half ton pickup. Seems to have the attributes of the Dr Diff unit and was dirt cheap for me. Here's hoping. And Happy New Year everyone!

    Master Cylinder selection?

So for one question I get several opinions/answers. So my thinking is use the aluminum Diplomat master, the Wilwood full-adjust prop valve/dist block. Eliminate the factory dist block, re-plumb that section, and should be good. Cheap that way too. I like that and it should stop decent. Wish I...

    Master Cylinder selection?

Finished the BBP manual disc swap on my 67 Valiant. Now to the rear...Going with a Ford 8.8 with disc. In keeping with manual brakes, what master cylinder did you/anyone you know, use? I plan to use a Wilwood adjustable prop valve and have the 4 to 2 bolt mount adapter for using other brand...

What kind of Master Cylinder would I use? 4 wheel disc

There is also a guy on here from Canada that makes an adapter for the firewall to fit a 'generic' GM style MC (2-bolt) to the 4-bolt Mopar firewall. Wilwood also offers and adjustable pushrod, that you WILL need. The GM style MC's are simple and work...you decide bore size. I would use 7/8 or...

Don garlits brand tachometer on ebay - WOW

I had one of these back in '96 I picked up at a junk sale for 5 bucks. Was shocked to find it's value was a few hundred even back then. Then my landlord's son and/or his uncle stole of it out of my car. They denied it of course. But I know. We will meet again.

[FOR TRADE] 1976 K5 trade for Mopar parts

I have a 1976 K5 Blazer here. I am second owner. It has over 300k miles easy. In 2002 it got a Goodwrench crate 350, B&M trans, rblt axles, new drivelines, etc. In the last couple years she got new steering components, master cylinder, hoses, belts, battery, water pump, stereo, roll cage...

    Painless wiring

I tried every company mentioned in the previous comments with no luck. I would like to simply replace all the wire in the engine bay. The stuff in the rest of the car is fine. While I know I could just buy a complete harness and use what I need, this seems way more expensive and kind of a waste...

A Body Disc Brake Swap 101

Love this whole thread, pun intended... I am almost done with my BBP/disc swap. This seems like such a simple thing, but as embarrassing as it may be, I do not know the answer. The new(er) parts still have the crazy 'wrong' direction lug pattern on the passenger side. How does a guy find lug...

How to get to this 'stance'

So I have a couple question on this subject, only, I'm asking for the opposite reasons. I want my car to sit kind of high and level, not as extreme as a gasser but high... Its a 440 in a '67 Valiant. Why couldn't a person just mount the front of the leaf springs below the framerail rather than...

TIE ROD ENDS and other questions

The back story is I am putting a 440 n a 67 Valiant. Most of the BBP disc brake swap is complete. Problem is the car calls for ES319 tie rod ends and the parts in the swap came from '72 and '74 cars that call for ES401 ends. Is it as simple as 401 outers and 319 inners? The adjustment sleeves...

    BB 727 Trans help please

Ya if it's a switch for two things then a power or ground (either) would have to be the third wire. I guess some testing is in order then, should not be too hard to figure that out in that case. And MRMOPARTECH the motor is a '78 with cast crank so should be ok. I have not even tried to mate...

    BB 727 Trans help please

would that be similar to a TV cable or kickdown? The old 904 I had didn't have it...If I wanted to shift down I just did it manually. Never thought about Neutral safety switch I guess. Everything else I ever had activated the back-up lights by shifter position-type switch.

    BB 727 Trans help please

I finally go the 727 for the 440 Valiant build. Its a rebuilt with about 50 miles on it out of a Dodge van. Got a great deal on it from a friend but when I picked it up I noticed the 2-wire lead coming out of it and don't know what that's for. Also noted that it had 2 shift arms. One of them...

    440 RB question

Skeeter for the budget rear end, check out the 8.8 swap sticky. I have the same deal. 440 for 150 running, 727 with 50miles on rebuild for 375, and 8.8 locker with 3.73's for 200, all for my '67 Valiant. FABO has been a godsend. Now for a cheap RB/A-body exhaust thread and I'd be set. Time to...

    HP Manifolds

Spun is correct here. I talked with Tom the other day and they did have it all ironed out BUT as things often go, the production price cant support retail price and they are no longer offered. Used ones? I'm thinkin good luck on that. The lucky few that have them would likely know just how lucky...
