Sorry I haven't put an update on this lately. But the engine is running good. I have put factory disc brakes, replacing the Scarebird disc setup and a new rear end, thank you DaveCuda. I also have put 15' tires with new chrome Rallye rims. Rides great. Still have a slight leak in the power steering.

Hello, I have a question about a front disc conv. on a a body I have got front spindles, upper control arm and ball joints. Do I need to replace the lower ball joints too?? The original are not lining up with the spindles. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Group, I got my Valiant back and its run good, need some bugs worked out with EFI. But I have an issue that I need help with. We put a kickdown cable for the auto trans and its not working correct. I need to original kick down linkage for a 273 with auto trans. Can anyone help?

Having some issues with the Scarebird brake conversion. The new sway bar that was installed interferes with the brakes. The calipers hit the sway bar when turning. Bummer. So that will be coming off until I go with the 73 and up spindles and a frame. Also Scarebird sent the wrong mounting plates...

Thanks for the tip. I called my guy let him know and he said the bracket he ordered was for my pump on a small block 8. It should be in within a day or so. I will let you know if you are correct. It it doesn't fit, it will be just another speed bump. As usual this site keeps me informed and aware.

Well here is an update of my engine swap on my 66 valiant. I'm sorry I haven't kept this thread going as I started a new job shortly after starting this post. While the engine refresh didn't go as well as expected, It needed to be bored,cleaned and rebuilt. The heads also needed to be redone...

I just swapped my /6 for a 273 and the I didn't change the bars. I'll let you in week or so if there is a difference. Haven't driven it yet. But it is sitting better than it was.

I am doing an 8 cyl swap also. I was looking into converting the brakes. I found a 9" option. Scarebird has a kit that uses Toyota Previa rotors and they include a backplate. You just have to buy Chevy celebrity calipers and pads and a Caddy hose. It is all in the setup specs...
