    Sealed Beam Headlights

GE Nighthawks H6024 are the ones that were recommended and that I used in the past with pretty good results. - Silverstars are junk - Wagners are "ok" I'm now using LED conversion kits with decent results. There are these new "Nighthawk Sport" from GE that look promising as well, but I...

    New Edelbrock intake quality issues

Would it work on Edel. aluminum magnum heads? I'll be honest as I have not done any research on it yet. I was saving up for an Eddy Air-gap manifold for the magnum. I guess I'll have to look into it.

    New Edelbrock intake quality issues

Yeah, I'm half tempted to take one of my old 15 yr old LA Weaind or Edelbrock intakes and see if I can modify them to fit the Magnum blocks for my stroker. Probably not very cost effective...

    72 340 build vs...other options

My take. 340's are cool nostalgia, If I had an all original 340 equipped car, yes I'm keeping it. If I happen to have a 340 around by itself I'll sell it to someone who'll do more with it than me whether it's a restoration or is really big into nostalgia. 360's especially 5.9's you can "do more...

    Tie Rod advise please

^ Agree 100%. I've been using Proforged Tie rod ends and have been really happy with them. The Moog stuff I used before lasted only a few years. Speaking of which I'm about to replace the Pitman arm which is Moog with Proforged pretty soon. The Moog Pitman arm I'm using was installed in 2013...

My "new" '74 Duster- or why I need a project like a hole in the head

But, but you're driving it in the snow! You should stop! Your car will melt with cancer with all the snow and salt! It should be kept in a climate controlled garage or trailer and only driven 500 miles a year. :poke: J/K (The reaction of some when they see someone driving theirs in...

What year and model Chrysler is this?

Then in 1981 Dodge created this. 2.2L 4 cylinder With Garret Twin Turbos. Pumping out 440 HP. The car was able to go about 195 mph. The Interceptor M4S, they made a few prototypes. Yeah it was ahead of its time and sadly Dodge never really expanded much on it.

    Hello from ia

Sounds like a plan, that's kind of what I'm doing right now. For now I'm running a 1990 Rollercammed LA 360 (1989-1992 LA 360's were factory rollercammed) stock bore with about 10:1 compression with aluminum heads. I am currently, slowly assembling a 408 stroker based on a 2000's 5.9 magnum.

    Hello from ia

Welcome! Nice baseline! Now for your question. If it was me I would one of these things. Keep the 340, build it up and run it! Or keep the 340 by storing it and find a 89-92 LA roller or Magnum 5.9 & build it up nicely as a daily. Then slowly building up the 340. - 340's are gold nowadays. 5.2...

    Bring back the Red x

Wow... Not into Mustangs... But I do appreciate classics but not to the extent of turning one into a glorified storage shelf. Kinda reminds of a local shop who found a Dodge Dart with a 318 stuffed into a shed on some farm in Idaho for almost 40 years.

    Bring back the Red x

So... The dreaded red X is gone. It never bothered me in the first place as I've gotten a few even from those who I like. I guess some go through a meltdown if they see red. Oh well.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for your son's service. I have served as well and did some tours in the Middle East, granted all's I've done is operate trenchers to bury fiberoptic network cables at remote bases at various locations, also repaired and relocated comm. systems. I've met...

    Drag strips closing every Day!

This!^^^ It really pisses me off of how stupid some of these people are. Bandimere Speedway (Mile high track in Colorado) closed in October. The track has been there since 1958, and people have been complaining about the noise as they build more houses closer to the track. You build your damn...

How much you paying for gas now ?

Nice! They had Christmas specials at a nearby Sportsmen's Warehouse a few days ago. A box of 200 .223 55gr for $110 per box, it's now back up to $140. They were $89 in late spring of this year.

How much you paying for gas now ?

About $2.89 / gallon for reg. here in Northern Utah. But since I have 10.2 compression I always use the 91 Octane premium at about $3.28.
  27. Cuprum-74

    Got some snow.

Yeah, I hear ya, We got just a titch here in Northern UT. I'm hopin' we get at least an average winter, the ball breaker we had last year was great but we just need a little more to get our water levels to 100%.
