And most of those cars, the gas gauges don't work. I can't count the A body's I've ran into where the gas gauge didn't work, and they were missing the ground strap. By adding the ground strap, voila the fuel gauge worked. We could go back and forth until we are blue in the face on this subject...

Nope......Actually it is there to complete the ground circuit between the metal sending unit and the metal fuel line, which has the rubber fuel line between the two. Remove this strap, and your gas gauge will not operate.

Yes you are missing the ground strap. And I will add this: If your fuel gauge isn't working, many times (missing ground strap) is the reason.

That should be plentiful around here. Usually people are looking for the 4bbl version. I should have one. Ill take a look. Anyone else ?

70-72 should be the same frame and foam, making the upholstery interchangeable for those years. Having said that, a call to Legendary Auto upholstery would be my next step to verify.

The RPM and the Air Gap have the same carb pad height 5.35". So they are doable under the stock hood, usually with a drop base air-cleaner. The single plane intakes usually are taller, which will give you diffucties, with a stock hood. Both intakes are rated at 1500-6500 rpm's.The Air Gap runs...

Hood clearance with a stock hood, and these different intakes comes to mind. What hood are you running ?
