Help Firing Dad's Dart up Again - SOS - No Spark After Hosing Off the Dust

    Maaco paint job?

I live in Canada, so my experience may be different than yours. I COULD NOT find a shop that was willing to take my car in and shoot it after I had done the bodywork. It wasn't that my work was bad.... they would not even look at it. Also.... I painted my shell in my garage. Built a tent out...

    Cleaning 3rd member

Liquid gas is not explosive. Vapors are the hazard here. Gas is fuel using it as a cleaner is like using a screwdriver as a chisel. It kind of works but the risk outweighs the benefit

    Dash Cluster

I just checked and it looks like I may be off on my comment about the fuel gauge. Nevertheless, it's a simple cheap long term solution. I was pretty happy with myself for sorting it out!

    Dash Cluster

I may be wrong but I thought the earlier Darts had the voltage regulator in the fuel gauge? I made an electronic VR with a few parts ordered online. Bought enough to cobble together 5 voltage regs for about 20 bucks delivered to my front door.

    Two questions...

I am no pro, but I don't think you are measuring ride height according to the FSM. As I understand it, these unibody cars are not to be measured from anywhere on the sheet metal. Follow the process and set your ride height according to the FSM. I tried 3 different shops in my area and NOT ONE...

Help with glass reinstall Marion (columbus) Ohio. Striking out

I considered using rope on mine. I did a rope install the rear slider in my Dakota. It worked slick! I chose not to go with rope on the dart, that rear window has some mean points on the lower, and it is not easy getting around there let alone room inside near the package tray. After I found...

Help with glass reinstall Marion (columbus) Ohio. Striking out

I agree with the posters that say do it yourself. I installed all the glass in my 74 swinger by myself with no help at all with absolutely no damage or leakage afterwards. Go down to the glass shop and talk to the oldest guy you can find. He will probably gladly give you his advice, while...

    Is my Vacuum too low?

Thanks again! will add the fuel line pinch test to my tinkering once the North Pole goes home. At the risk of sounding even more like a Noob..... WET fuel level = actual float bowl fuel level??? I do have a bit of the little starter that could syndrome when the engine is cold and has been...

    Is my Vacuum too low?

Train wreck? Like I mentioned it RUNS pretty good, but does it drive good? No idea, its about 40 below, and there is about 3 inches of ice on the roads, not to mention a big frigging snow drift behind the bay door the car is parked behind. Ask me how it works once we get to a month with no...

    Is my Vacuum too low?

Appreciate all your help. at the current 750 idle speed in Park, it drops to about 625 in gear.( from memory... will confirm) I'm going to be honest and tell you I don't know what a transfer slot is, or what adjustments I may have made to get it into, or out of whack. Once Jack Frost...

    Is my Vacuum too low?

I'm pretty sure I took screen shots of a post you made some time ago with these instructions and more....., (it had step by step instructions at least 15 different points) I used your road map ( I think) as close as I could and it greatly helped me get to where I am. Thank you for that, it is...

    Is my Vacuum too low?

I have seen the charts, and corrected most of the issues I have had, and at this point have replaced parts, and tuned to the point I cant seem to improve from where I am at. A steady needle and smooth engine at idle is where I'm at.... itching to drive it and see how it likes my settings. The...

    Felt doughnut on balancer

I just did a timing set swap in my 74 dart 318. I did not use the felt gasket I could not see any literature that showed where and when to use it. So far no leaks! What threw me for a loop is the Rock auto OEM style Balancer I installed, had NO TIMING MARKS!!!! Seemed odd. I made my own, not...
