    Sudden Loss of Oil Pressure

Yes a high volume pump will suck a pan dry but you would have to be 3 quarts or more low on oil. The engine would have to be higher than idle rpm for this to occur. This happened to my 440 this year and I first noticed it with oil pressure gauge flucuating between 75 to 50 psi at 2000 rpm and I...

    Exhaust Tips

I have a 1968 GTS with a 440 and a full 2 1/2" dual exhaust system. I had the same issue as you and my solution was to install Flowmaster Exhaust Tips 15385. Heater delete facts

    Ford 8.8 swap?

I was quite pleased with the Ford 8.8 when I put it in a S10 with a 350 V8. Just remember you will need the drive shaft end to match the pinion yoke and maybe another short side shaft plus machining to make the differential center in the car. What is the rear axle length?

New alternators either 50 or 60amps?

The amount of current which is measured in amperes or amps would not be an issue with the wiring unless you add more accessories and make the alternator work harder. Also it is either a single groove pulley or a 2 groove pulley for less belt slippage with higher amp output alternators.
