[WANTED] 1965 Dodge Dart core radio needed, model 223

I need a 1965 Dodge Dart non working core radio, model 223. It has the bronze dial with black lettering. The dial is 5" x 1". All I really need is a dial that is in great shape, unmarked but if the core is priced reasonably I'll take it. Thanks. Steve

    Cruising miss (lean)

I had a similar problem on my built 318 - miss at high rpm cruise only. Turned out to be a loose connector one side of the ballast resistor. Drove me nuts because I thought it was a carb problem.

    Shelby Cal 500 rim questions

Thanks. I like slotted mags. And as a bonus I scored a set of genuine magnesium wheels. Been doing some more research on the web and getting creative with measuring since it appears the wheel and tire companies won't commit to any suggestions or solutions via phone or email on older wheels and...

    Shelby Cal 500 rim questions

Picked up a set of (4) original Shelby Cal 500 all magnesium rims with original Shelby center caps for my '68 Barracuda Fastback, 14x7, 4 1/2 inch large bolt pattern. Previous owner claimed he had them on a '68 Charger. They do not have a beveled center hole- not center hole centric - or...

LD4B OR LD340 FOR 273?? Coil mount?? Need pics

6 pack coil bracket - available at Mancini ~ $30. Mounts on the two rear manifold bolts passenger side of the LD4B. Had to do a little bit of "massaging" with a file to clear the runners and get the bolt holes to line up. Very close clearance on the valve cover. But.... it works and looks clean!

'68 Barracuda rear quarter window mounting washers

CUUDAK Thanks! I spoke with Tom at R/T Specialties and he has the parts. Turns out these same parts are used on all 66-72, A-bodies and a bunch of B-bodies: #3035054 Gasket, quarter window to casting (need 4 per side) #2216544 Window track insulator, rubber (need 2 per side)...

'68 Barracuda rear quarter window mounting washers

Getting the '68 Barracuda Fastback ready for the paint shop so yesterday I pulled the rear quarter windows and regulators. The rear quarter windows bolt directly to the window regulator using "snouted rubber washers" (my term - see pic.) to protect the hole in the glass and both sides of the...

    A-block head milling

Moper Mild cam - Edelbrock Performer with 0.42 lift, stock stamped rockers 1.5:1.0. Stock flat top 318 pistons, using 360 valves in the head and .020 milled off the head; and ideally a thin .020 head gasket (that would get the compression up to about 9.0:1.0) Just went down to the machine...

    2 barrel to 4 barrel?

Here's a partial answer: The throttle linkage rod will have to be lengthened at the carb - Edelbrock actually sells an extension for this. I'm running an Edelbrock Performer manifold with the 600cfm Edelbrock carb on my 318 and I had to weld an inch and a half extension into the throttle...

    A-block head milling

The 302 heads are finally in the machine shop. I'm considering having .020 milled off the block surface of the head. Per the Mopar engine book the intake surface also has to be milled .0095 for each .010 taken off the block mating surface. No problem. However they also state that the...

    Optimum setup for 302 heads

Spent an hour on the phone with BJR yesterday - I'm a believer. Learned alot and had a great conversation. Looks like I can use a Holley 3310 carb. Also, earlier I quoted the Lunati VooDoo 60403 268 cam specs incorrectly. Correct lift, etc. are: Advertised Duration IN/EX: 268/276...

    Optimum setup for 302 heads

The reasoning for using the 1.6 exhaust valves on the street is really interesting - I hadn't considered the muffler restriction factor. Read through the allpar info. I'm working on thinking "system" so everything works together. So it appears to me that since the optimum valve would be a...

    Optimum setup for 302 heads

Sublime swinger Thanks for finding that article! I remember reading that and have it printed out around here somewhere. I forgot they had a price break down with part numbers included - a big help. PM'd Bobby at BJR. It looks like the best valves are 1.78 intake and 1.60 exhaust for what...

    Optimum setup for 302 heads

Thanks guys. I'll look up the Hot Rod mag 318 build. I also sent a PM to BJR.

    Optimum setup for 302 heads

Thanks for the replies. The reason I'm posting is because of reading some of BJR's posts. I don't want to over valve the 302's if it would actually hurt performance since I'm building a cruiser street engine. I have Comp Cams Camquest 6 software (engine dyno for dummies ;-) and am using...

    Optimum setup for 302 heads

What would be the optimum set up (amount of porting, valve sizes, and intake config) for a pair of 302 heads on a 318 running zero decked KB167 pistons at approx. 10:1, with stock stroke, and a 268/276 camshaft for a street cruiser with 2000-2200 stall converter, 904 low gear set and 3.23...
