    Fabricated Leaf Spring Slider Brackets?

Ok, I finally got the mounting plates mounted, I milled a slot in the slider mounting brackets to fit the vertical plates which will then fit them to the frame rails. I had to mill out slots in the vertical plates to give room to clear the slider mounting bolts from bottoming out into them. I...

    Fabricated Leaf Spring Slider Brackets?

When I drag race this car I know that my ride height and weight will change along with track conditions so I want the adjustability to allow that. Fabricated Leaf Spring Slider Brackets?

That’s exactly why I’m doing it this way because I’m building it to drag race I want that adjustability based on track conditions and when weight of car changes. I do have front hangers with 3 adjustment points. I’m just figuring better to have adjustability versus a fixed position

    Fabricated Leaf Spring Slider Brackets?

Rather than welding them to the frame rails and then have the slider max out based on position I can move it forward and back a few inches.

Also started stripping down the rear 1/4 panels to see what’s underneath the top layer of primer. Fabricated Leaf Spring Slider Brackets?

I’m going to mill a 1/4 slot on the top side of the mounting plates and the weld them on the outer edge to the plates. Then bolt them into place through the bracket and the frame. I will do that when I mock up the rear end with the suspension so I know where to locate the mounting point for a...

    Fabricated Leaf Spring Slider Brackets?

Ok I’m working on the Dart this weekend. The weather in Havasu is perfect for this. I’m going to run Caltrac split mono leaf springs on my Dart. I purchased Caltrac sliders and instead of welding them to the frame rails or bolting them on I decided to make mounting plates out of 1/2 aluminum. It will give me 4 1/2 inches of forward and back adjustment in increments of 1 1/2...
