[FOR SALE] 1974 Plymouth Scamp Project - Lots of good parts - $7,500

Alright guys, price is 5k - need it out of my garage. For this price it would even make a good parts car for someone wanting a suspension and rear end overhaul. I'm taking a big loss at this price. I am firm at this price. Thanks.

[FOR SALE] 1974 Plymouth Scamp Project - Lots of good parts - $7,500

As you guys get closer to a decision I am happy to FaceTime you and show you the car as good as I can to help with that. Alabama only requires a bill of sale on vehicles this old so I have not had to get a title. Let me know if any other questions. Thanks.

[FOR SALE] 1974 Plymouth Scamp Project - Lots of good parts - $7,500

Would welcome feedback on this - surprised it hasn't sold yet, even if for the parts if nothing else. I guess I would consider parting out the qa1 parts and the rear end.

[FOR SALE] 1974 Plymouth Scamp Project - Lots of good parts - $7,500

1974 Plymouth scamp project. Hate to sell but haven’t had any time to work on it. Solid car with lots of money spent on chassis and suspension work. Full cage, subframe has been connected and has new floor pan. Complete qa1 tubular front suspension- upper and lower control arms, strut bars...

    the"Busted knuckle duster"

Thanks! Seems unavoidable. Just have to build a new crossmember and floor for these transmissions

    the"Busted knuckle duster"

Looks great! Did you have to modify the torsion bar crossmember at all or just the floor?

Floors pan and trans tunnel suggestions

Has anyone cut out a tunnel from a late model challenger or charger and used that? I would think that would be easier than building a new tunnel.

    Holley Blackheart 8hp swap parts

Looks like there has been a lot more progress with B-bodies than a-bodies on the hemi and 8hp swap parts. Anyone tried using some of these on an a body? Hooker BlackHeart BHS539 Hooker Blackheart Transmission Crossmember Hoop

    Torsion Bars?

At what point does it start getting too harsh? Assuming decent shocks
  15. Travis Mitchell

    Torsion Bars?

What torsion bars did you decide on? I am debating size as well and would love input. 5.7 hemi with complete Qa1 front end and qa1 non adjustable shocks.

    318/8 Speed Swap

Thanks! I have a 74 scamp. The engine and trans is a 5.7 from a 2015 rt Charger. I haven’t started mocking up the engine yet so trying to figure out the best plan! I plan on using the complete tubular set up from qa1 up front

Have you found out anymore on this?? I’m curious about the best way to fit it.

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

I know it’s been a while but thought I’d update y’all on the input you gave me. finally came across a deal. I was able to scoop up a 2015 5.7 with the 8hp70 out of a wrecked charger with only 80k miles. Found it local and traded it for an old stand up jet ski I built. My ski was probably worth...

    68 Barracuda Hemi swap

Great work!! looks awesome! Did you do any internal work on the hemi, or keep it fairly stock? Wondering if the 5.7 stock is plenty of power for that setup. Thanks.

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

Yeah seems likely there a lot of good deals on them. I’ve seen that as well. I’m going to try for a truck motor unless it’s a screaming deal on a car motor.

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

I honestly haven’t researched that much. I have no doubt Hotwire got it figured out already though! I’ll look into it more so if a deal comes up I can jump on it.

I’m going to do my best to buy something that is ready to run already. Thanks though!

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

Oh trust me I would love a 392! We are unfortunately talking way different budgets at that point... Sounds like I may need to do a little more research on the Nag1 and 545 to be sure. But like you said I'll be patiently looking for deals. What deal comes up may help me make a better decision...

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

Thanks for the feedback! I've actually gone back and forth on all of those options but ultimately have settled on the hemi. I also have a 440 and BB 727 in the garage. The builds I looked at for both the 318 and 440, or even a magnum just added up pretty quick to get reliable power. I've been...

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

Thanks for the response! The engine build you are describing is right what i was thinking. I've read a bunch on the nag and it seems like a lot, but doable. I guess my goal has been to just buy a complete car. Just seems like it would be easier to pull everything from one car... I've been...

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

Other than just repairing any major wear, probably not. It seems like that should be about all I need to hit my power goals. But feel free to give your input on that as well!

Choosing the best 5.7 engine and Transmission

Hey guys, I have been reading through all of the gen 3 hemi posts I can but need some help making a few choices... I got my 74 Scamp gutted and I've been collecting parts to start getting it back together. Was a 318 727 car. My goal is to build a fun daily driver. Will likely only see some...
