    LD4B Intake question

I used a gasket instead of the Oring. I probably could have used the Oring but I have had gaskets in stock, so I used them.

    LD4B Intake question

Just for everyone's benefit. AR Engineering AR438 is a good fix for this problem. It is a little bit pricey but bang for your buck it works great. Mancini had it in stock now I can take back the other one to Summit on my next trip there for a refund.

    Intake Manifold Gaskets

I would test fit intake without the cork end rail gaskets I think you will see a big difference. We toss the cork end rail gaskets and just use silicone make sure if you have pins on the end rail, they are removed also they can hold the intake manifold from sitting down also. Here is a picture...

    LD4B Intake question

My mechanical sending unit hits the thermostat if I put the thermostat on top. I even tried the smaller stat on bottom falls through hole. Large thermostat on bottom the housing leaks (I used a gasket top and bottom). May try to trim large thermostat to fit inside Oring thermostat on bottom (use...

    LD4B Intake question

I may just hook up the temperature electrical gauge on my cluster. My cluster does not have an oil pressure gauge it has a light only so I installed mechanical oil and water temp gauges when the car had a 318 engine in it.

    LD4B Intake question

Dear rumblefish360 I looked on Summit site and did not see the one from your picture, did the one from Joes fit over the original thermostat or did the thermostat go on top of the spacer? Here are pictures of the one I did purchase from Summit today.

    LD4B Intake question

The 340 is basic X heads mildy ported, Ld4b has been port matched, Mopar 484 cam, Doug's headers, and 2.5" Pypes exhaust system. I bought a thermostat spacer from Summit Racing, but the mechanical sending unit hits the thermostat. Figured somebody has run into this before and came up with a fix...

    LD4B Intake question

Just finished installing a complete 340 in my Demon took a 318 out of the car. I have an LD4B intake on the 340. There is not a port for a mechanical water temperature sending unit. My question what is everyone doing to run a mechanical water temperature gauge on this intake? I cannot be the...

Building a new 505 With Callies / Mopar Performance Block

These are the Harland Sharp that Trickflow recommended for their heads. The geometry looked really good when I had the checking springs on the heads. I am remeasuring for pushrods because I cut .040 of the Trickflow heads to raise my compression ratio.

Building a new 505 With Callies / Mopar Performance Block

Picked up the heads from Valley Performance in Michigan on Wednesday. They did a great job had them take .040 off of deck surface and .048 off of the intake surface. Had them check out the heads while they were there. They said the guides were a little tight, so they opened them up. They did a...
