Looking for a 4 speed hump

Thanks for letting me know. Right now I no longer have the car, decided to let it go to someone who will hopefully do something with the car, if I held on to it, chances are by the time I got to it, it wouldn't be pretty by any standards.... If I come across another one, and want to do this...

    1979 Dodge Aspen

Yeah, like I had said, I've moved it a little more to toward the front of the yard where I had pulled the motor and tranny. Also, had went and cleaned it up some. The trim for where the vinyl top used to be, I took it off (in trunk) because I was going to just have the car repainted all in one...

    Re-List, '70 Duster

Jeeze, last time I came through I thought I had replied to this thread. Anyway, I do still have the car for sale, though someone is supposedly coming over to check it out some time this weekend. I live roughly two miles off of Phelima Rd (corner of Phelima and White Pond). Unfortanatly there's...

    Re-List, '70 Duster

Instead of dragging up the old thread, I'll relist it. Despite what all I'd like to do with this '70 Duster, I just don't see any of it happening any time soon. Also, found out I got a second child on the way, so I'd like to see this car go to a good home. Anyway, as I said, it's a 1970 Plymouth...

Big blocking the '70 Duster, mine

Sorry I've not checked in since I posted this thread. Anyway, first, this will be my first big block into small block car motor swap. Next, this car was originaly an automatic, so it will also be a manual conversion. There's a guy just north of me who has the linkages, pedals, and some other...

Big blocking the '70 Duster, mine

Instead of digging up an old thread of mine from back when.... I'll start this one. I've decided to go ahead and get the 400 from a guy I know. It's a '77 year date casting from a 4x4 truck with manual tranny. The truck is gone, but complete drivetrain was purchased by the guy that I got the 400...

    Dusters with 4 speeds?

The 4 speed I'm looking at came out of a '68 Coronet, I'm fairly certain that's right, and it came from behind a 440. The 400 that I have that this will be going behind, had a manual tranny behind it, but.... It was a 4wd truck that it was in, so a trans and transfer case, want work to well in a...

    Dusters with 4 speeds?

Update here, I talked with the guy I know who lives near by with the A-833, he still has it, and is fairly complete. He said the bellhousing is gone b/c it was cracked, so he got rid of it. He also stated that the tranny needs a rebuild, apparently the old pilot bearing ate the shaft up some, so...

    Best bet on rear suspension?

I just have to throw this in to see what it stirs up, hehehe http://www.magnumforce.com/store/detail.asp?ProductID=3810&CategoryID=20&BrandID=&Category=&SubCategory=&Search=&Page=:snakeman: Also, want these work on the Duster? It's got a listing for the valiant, so I figure, maybe...

    Best bet on rear suspension?

Hmmm, I checked them out, if the monoleafs are better, then the list has changed in that the ss springs have dropped, and the mono's are in.... I guess they will still work with a leaf spring relocation kit want they?

    Best bet on rear suspension?

The 400 I'm talking about want be a killer horse power motor.... I'm hoping for around 1 horse power per cid.... Maybe a hair over.... I could get that out of a small block easily.... But I like the sound of a big block, plus if I wanted a lot more power later on, I got a foundation to work...

    Aftermarket Dashes?

What I'm refering to here, would be not the whole dash assembly but the cluster itself. Mine is gone, and I'm thinking of going aftermarket. I was looking into an aluminum plate with hole cut out to mount gauges in, but can't remember what the company name was.... Figures.... I looked into Rocky...

    Best bet on rear suspension?

Though the rear axle selection is quite vast at best, I'm figuring something like this for the rear suspension: http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/mansupstocsp1.html http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/sprinrelkit.html http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/catrbarsy1.html...

    Best bet on rear suspension?

Did a search on some axle housings and such, and found the new Moser 875's over at Summit, man at around $500+ for just the housing, then you gotta get everything else, well.... I may come out better getting a Dana setup for a little over $1000...... The gears will end up probably being...

    Best bet on rear suspension?

For my '70 Duster, I'm planning on running a 400 big block with manual tranny..... The rear axle will be replaced with a ........ good question.... Don't have one sitting around, but have my eye on an 8 lug truck rear axle sitting around just down the road from me, I think it may be a Dana...

    Dusters with 4 speeds?

Dust, This Duster originaly (based on vin #), and K frame is originaly a Duster 340. But it had an auto in it. When I got it, someone had stripped it all the way down, and I don't know why but wished I did..... If I can make it out there today, I'll be able to look things over again... The new...

    Dusters with 4 speeds?

Dust, thanks for the pic's so far, now that I have a little bit better of an idea of what all I'll need, I know how to proceed..... Items that I know I'll need: Shifter assembly Clutch/Brake pedal assembly Transmission (I know where I can get an A-833 with big block bell housing)...

    Dusters with 4 speeds?

I'm guessing no one has any pic's or anything that can show me what all I need to get and get into to do this conversion? Also any opinions on the conversion hump that the Paddock offers? I know there are at least two different kinds out there, but I was wondering if this is the right one or...

    Dusters with 4 speeds?

Here's the conversion hump that I have in mind, as for if it's the "correct" hump or not, I couldn't tell you. This will be the first manual tranny muscle car, all others have been and are, automatics.... I'm wanting to go back with the 4 speed so it would be a little more "correct" looking. The...

    Dusters with 4 speeds?

I know there are Dusters out there lurking about with 4 speeds, but I was wondering who here has one? Preferably a '70 model, though I don't think it will truely matter.... Here's why I ask, the Duster that I have, and those that have seen the pic's and remember them know, or could probably...
