    Cheap 318 performance mods.

It's funny how there is an official 3>18 day (March 18th), but no 3>40 day. Guess the Working Man's 318 won out... ☆☆☆☆☆

    Cheap 318 performance mods.

34,000 actual miles. When I took it to car shows I had people roll the windows down > the mechanisms and tracks would just glide. People would look at me like OMG, this is like brand new. Tail lights shone crystal clear, no hazing or fogged lenses. That is what sold me on the car right there...

Don't know, but it sure ran nice on a stock build 360. Very responsive > strong. Believe it was 1967 383s that ran the Strombergs. ☆☆☆☆☆

How far in the hole 318 pistons

How about searching out an '89 - '91 roller 318, or the earlier '86 - '88 roller 318? The generation of 318 Roller Cam engines all came with the flat top pistons .040 ths down in the hole at 9.2:1 c.r. stock without even having to touch them. With the factory 302 Closed Chamber heads with the...

Best Hammer/ Dolly Set advice from a Pro Panel Beater

I should probably mention there are 2 types of hammers. Finishing hammers with the machined larger round flat face. And Rough In hammers with more of a Cast head. ☆☆☆☆☆

Best Hammer/ Dolly Set advice from a Pro Panel Beater

The Heal and Toe style dolly's are very handy, easier to get into a lot of tight spaces. Other simple 50.00 hammer dolly sets, the hammers are less than ideal but can work. My favorite finishing hammer is a thin flat face with the chisel point made by Snap on Tools. The head and handle...

    Tire monitor systems - aftermarket.

Need to check over your equipment well before you leave on your trips, then you don't have unexpected problems while out on the road. Tires need to be up to date and not sun rotted even if they are only 3 years old. ☆☆☆☆☆

    Tire monitor systems - aftermarket.

This is crazy thinking. Feel your hubs when you get gas > truck and trailer. You can feel the tires too if you want > running hot then there is a problem. Too many electronics not a good thing. Relax and enjoy the ride. ☆☆☆☆☆

Got a new Truck (new to me)

Got the New Mopar Kickdown arm that bolts to the trans on Ebay through Van's out of Wisconsin. I had ordered another one from another ebay supplier, then saw Van's handles them so I ordered one from them too, Knowing that Van's shipping is going to get to me way faster than the other suppliers...

1968 Dart sudden rear end noise.

Possibly looks like this but the pin wears out in the case. Sometimes you have to pull the diff housing and ring gear, then remove the ring gear to get it out of the way so you can get the cross pin out for the spiders. Another hillbilly trick is to grind off the one corner of the ring...

1968 Dart sudden rear end noise.

There are differential rebuild kits for '68 > 7 1/4 rear ends on rock auto. May have to send out the diff housing to a machine shop to weld and redrill the center pin holes if they are egged out. Here you go: May be other parts on their site for 7 1/4 too besides these.... ☆☆☆☆☆

1968 Dart sudden rear end noise.

First off a 7 1/4" rear end is a very light duty rear end. As the small 2 spider gears start to wear, it wrenches on the cross pin in the case. So much so that it eggs out the case that the cross pin sits in. Eventually it sheers the the 3/16" bolt pin on the end and the cross pin starts to...

1968 Dart sudden rear end noise.

If it's a 7 1/4 rear end, then the pin that holds the spider gears came loose in the differential housing and is working it's way out rubbing on the case. Soon to grenade. ☆☆☆☆☆
