great thougt, their kit looks very comprehensive. will follow up mon. the CPP one got an endorsement from RoadKill on MotorTrend channel that used it on a duster 440 conversion (search youtube for "crop duster 440")

so I have 9" front brake drum setup thats 5x4. not sure but seems like i have to go to 5x4.5 to make this work. but i love the steelies & caps. (?) but if must do so be it

yikes, a lot of reading here. have seen a HEI made by a Mopar distributor that looks decent, have some follow up to do but is not a name brand: eBay (ebaydesc.com) thank you for the thoughts!!

after a long search appears only CPP has a kit that includes calipers, A arms, booster, master, proportioning valve and related parts to secure it. anyone else achieve a good result using any other kit ? would love to hear from someone who tried this. (note: SSB and dr diff are nice folks...

yea, the cut away image may be bs, think the crank is wider. trying to bend it in

ok will try that - cutaway image (attached) suggests should not be an issue given dipstick path in block.

this should be easy but is evading a solution. car has cut dipstick tube so i started with new dipstick and cut it down 1/2" from bottom of pan, and continued removing 1" at time but continues to be struck by crank when engine on. anyone have a guess on proper length of dipstick measured...

should be easy...i bought new diptick, cut it to clear bottom by 1/2" as suggested but it is hitting crank. cant get a oil reading until the noise stops. can keep cutting it by 1/2" increments or is there a better approach ? thank you for all thoughts!

just a quick update. the first 2 were hand sanded. very long process, eat your wheaties folks. 2d two were sandblasted. looked like new from factory when picked up. extra $ of course but great result.
