    Unknown Schumacher motor mounts?

Can anyone tell me if these are 73+ /6 to SB mounts? All I can tell you is that they are NOT /6 to BB mounts, so they have to be either /6-SB or SB-BB.

WTB: spool type Shumacher /6 to B/RB mounts

I bought a set of mounts off of a member here a while back. They were supposed to be /6 to big block, but they're not. I suspect they're a set of /6 to small block mounts. Anyway, I'm now needing a set of motor mounts to swap in my big block in place of the old /6.

    727 trans won't seat-up on 440

I have an unknown make 3200rpm stall converter, flex plate from a '77 400bb and the engine is a '78 motor-home 440. I've seated and reseated the converter, but it sticks out too far. The bolt holes in the converter are roughly level with the mounting face of the bell-housing. So, if I put the...

    Thermoquad Carbs

I'm looking for Thermoquad carb cores. As long as the plastic section isn't damaged, I'll take any core. I want carbs that need rebuilt, not rebuilt carbs unless you're selling them cheap.

    Motorhome dipstick install?

I have a 440 motor home block (about a 78) and the provision for the dipstick has some sort of plug in it. Is this plug a press fit or threaded? I'm tried to put some vice grips on it, but no matter how hard I tried, they just slipped off. I don't want to go pounding on it with a hammer and...

    Engine Re-Assy Problem

I bought a 440 that had been sitting for a while. It's a 76-ish (ext. bal.) motor home engine. I pulled the caps to check the barings in the bottom ends. All the bearing look fine, the crank went back in fine. I put the rod bearings back together (without spinning then engine over each time)...

64 Chrysler Imperial - useful parts?

I've got a 73 Scamp (original /6 car) that I'm putting a 440 into. The 440 I have is from a 76-78 motorhome (ext. balanced). I know where a 64 Chrysler Imperial is at that's in good running/driving condition... but not road worthy. Is there anything you all can tell me about the drivetrain...

    Exhaust valves stuck in head

I have a 1978 440 from a motorhome with 452 heads. I was tearing down the heads to put in new valve seals and clean everything up. I got all the intake valves out fine. However, the exhaust valves won't come out further than the grooves where the locks are. It's like the grooves are catching...

The following are all for a '76 Motorhome 440 - Stock valve covers - Pulleys (main and waterpump) - Waterpump housing - 727 transmission (in any shape) - Torque converter (cheaper the better, just need something to start the engine with for now) - Cast crankshaft for a 76-ish Slant 6 engine...

    Rod cap mix-up

Well, my memory failed me while I had my motor disassembled. I kept the rod caps in order, had them marked 1-8. However, what I did forget was which way they were orientated on the rods. It's a 1978 440 out of a motorhome if that makes any difference. Does it make a difference if they're...
