Are the copper heater hose outlets still in place behind your coil? It seems you have made a custom bracket, and attached it to the firewall by screwing/drilling 4 new holes in the firewall, to then attach the coil to the bracket?

You are correct - the bracket is something i fabricated myself and attached to the intake to mount it vertically VS horizontally; I was/am trying to reduce coil heat as much as possible, and create space, access to the part of the intake, hence want to mount it on the firewall now... wiring...

Hi all... Just did a trip in my 68 Dart coupe, very mild 318, .030 over rebuild with around 13000 miles, headers, Fresh complete overhauled Holley 650 DP, Auto w 3.23 rear - both near new rebuilds. Sitting on 55/60 mph, highway/country driving mostly, and getting approx. 13-14 miles per gallon...

MSD Blaster 2, came with a Ballast resistor, but I didn't bother replacing the existing one and the guys I bought from said nothing about deleting a resistor for that coil...

I hear ya... But the exact same issue presents itself at the exact same time after warm up... And I bought a decent MSD coil... Didn't cheap out, so I'd have to be pretty unlucky I'd think...

Funny thing, last night when the issue presented itself again with a vengeance, once I stumbled home, I pulled 1 plug and it looked good... Even the old plugs I just replaced looked good when I pulled them... Very frustrating!
