Ignition in the steering column

My plug was disintegrated as well as the new plug was the same shape but different size. I can't be only that "that" has happened to. Lol but I read the aftermarket parts did have an issue with wiring color as well as it wasn't installed into the plug, was in the box with the ignition

I put a new ignition in but the problem was that the new ignition wire coloring is different than the original. So I'm thinking maybe that may be the issue is that 2 wires are reversed?

I'll test it but it is brand new, and same happens with the one that was in it before. Just to add, I used the ballast resistor in my dodge van to test an issue in the van and started fine in it, that said though, I will test it and put up what I find. Appreciate it

Looking for rear interior window sail panel or panels for 75 space duster. Mine is so very brittle and busted. Wondering if there's any out there? Color doesn't matter as car will be a driver and my others are repainted anyways. Its a 75, but imagine other years fit. Thanks for any help

Just a thanks for anyone that helped, The ignition box had a dead short. Replaced it and running like a champ. After replacing the Box isn't it live anymore on the case. Cheers

Take it easy there Andy! The Box WAS MOUNTED and still same issue. I ALSO grounded it when off the firewall to probe, (not run) Fake or not? I don't know, but believe it to be original to the motor. So easy with the I don't read crap please. Some grasp things a little differently than others.

From what I've understood, if it is grounded properly, with ignition in run position it should not be live like it is. But ill swap it out from one on my duster then can purchase new for the duster if thats case.

None of the rest of the body is live, I've probed all kinds of things to make sure

Ya thought of seatbelt but attached pics. No power to fuse block power to dash panel, power comung in from bulkhead only in 1 spot thats shown from outside fuse link too. And not sure what the cylindrical relay is there i put a pic of as well. Just perplexed

Thanks, yeah i have the dash out, been probing like mad, theres power to the dash main power in but zero power to fuse block . I have all sorts of test lights and digital so good there. Wiring not my strong point mechanical much much better.

Yes, i have had that apart, if you mean the connector on the red wire that looks like a fuse connector but its not? Cleaned it up as it's like a plug connector. Seems good there. Should i drop the steering column and pull the dash? Have a poke around in there or just pull out bulkhead connector...
