Need a good honest shop for my Dart

I assume you do not have an agreed value insurance policy. It is the responsibility of HER insurance company to put your car back to the way it was. All insurance companies are required to file with the State Insurance Commission. The insurance commission has rules on what the insurance...

67/68 barracuda rear window pull, reseal, replace question please

@Super-Cuda, @Kendog 170 and @mvh are right. You should remove the interior trim. I have replaced 67-69 Barracuda Fastback rear glass before, and it is not difficult. Although you may be able to remove and replace the rear glass without pulling the interior trim, removing the trim is not at all...

    Steering wheel puller

Like @69FBCuda said, go to a car parts store like O'Reilly's or Advance Auto and ask to borrow one. They will ask for a deposit, but you get it back when you return the tool. If you want to own one, you can get them for under $20 at Amazon or Harbour Freight. I have a cheap HF one that has been...

    Headers vs. Manifolds

Wow; you have gotten a lot of GOOD advice here. The good advice is given by a lot of people who are telling you how they would probably do it. Ten different people will think ten different ways. Here is my input. @Demonracer says you won't miss the horsepower on the street. I agree with that to...

Removing glued on carpet, any tips?

The Heat gun may very well work. I guess you would not care if the carpet got damaged. You could also try steam. You might be able to rent a steam cleaning machine.

    Borgeson power input shaft size

Pretty sure it is different. I thought about that conversion a few years ago. I called Borgenson and I seem to remember they said it was different, but they sold the part. Give them a call

    My Luck

I often thought about heading west from Newmarket on 9 to Orangevale and then heading south, But I was afraid I'd get lost.

Almost as entertaining as a boat ramp.

I like the ones where the truck goes clear down into the water. I am not good at it by any means, but here is what I do: I put my hand on the bottom of the steering wheel, and whichever way I want the back of the trailer to go, that is the direction I move my hand. Sometimes it works out great...

Yes. Newmarket. Although they just bought a house in Barrie on Lake Simcoe. They will be moving in about a month.

    My Luck

Been there, done that. My daughter lives about 15 miles due north of Toronto. When we visit her, we drive in from the west and then North on the 400. We left for home at 6:30 or 7:00 a few times and wound up driving at about 15-20 MPH for over an hour. After that, we started leaving at about...

Customer got exactly the cake they asked for. LOL

OK, here is a good one. A woman ordered a cake from Walmart, and she wanted it to say “Aries Baby”, and she wanted it to be in the middle of the cake in small cursive letters. So on the order form, she wrote, “Aries Baby (small cursive in the middle of the cake)”. This is what she got:

340 exhaust heat shield needed for Van's to repop.

You do make a good point. It would be interesting to know what the tooling cost was and what it costs to stamp and produce every one of those 69 rear decklid panels. 69 was the lowest production year of the 67-69 Barracudas, so it is a rather limited market to start with. I wonder how many of...

Pretty sure those are standard covering 69 Barracuda seats. Here are mine.

340 exhaust heat shield needed for Van's to repop.

If I was doing an accurate restoration, I would GLADLY pay $300 for a part that is otherwise unobtainable. Sometimes people really crack me up. They ***** and complain because certain parts are not being repopped. Then, when a company drops a fortune on making the part, and charges an...

@Mike the pol, RhinoMan68 is RIGHT!. Don't forget to reinforce those holes. You definitely cannot use the console with the bench seat. But trust me when I say that you will LOVE the buckets and console.

    Underbody paint advice needed

I have used a similar product. You should be fine with the possible rust if it is not driven in rain much. I would scuff with more than a scotch brite pad. I would scuff with 220 or 320 grit dry paper. that will give good mechanical adhesion, and the minor sanding scratches will be more than...

What If Build Ideas...for Land Speed Racing

I always thought a 67-69 Barracuda Fastback would make a decent speed car. I am sure you would have to tweak the nose and tail a bit to improve the car's aerodynamics (like they did with the Charger 500), but the car looks like it might be slippery enough at high speed. And if there are engine...

    Parts ads

On the other end of that spectrum, I lucked out BIG time on some parts once. In 1985, I was restoring a 65 Corvette convertible when stationed in Little Rock, AR. It was a factory AC car, and it was missing the driver's side AC duct/vent. I saw an ad somewhere for some AC parts, and I called. It...

all I have to say is when buying an old car dont trust anyone about its history

At the very most. I always tell people here that if you cannot hear an engine run, you need to assume it needs a complete rebuild. If you cannot put a transmission in gear and feel it move the car, you must assume it needs a complete rebuild. Same with brakes and all suspension. comments like...
