    Odd door mirror

2 post would be correct but would not cover the damaged paint caused by the previous mirror.

    Odd door mirror

    It is a new mirror.

    Odd door mirror

Finally found something on eBay that seemed to work out well. The base covers the damaged paint and the vent window just clears the mirror perfectly.

    Odd door mirror

No remote. Going to look into the size of the base on the 67 and up version to see if it will cover the area of damaged paint under the base of mine. Thanks

    Odd door mirror

Thanks. I will stop trying to find them from some other Mopar application.

    Odd door mirror

I have been searching for a replacement to the door mirror on my 65 Valiant convertible. I have seen one other like it on a 65 Barracuda but I am not sure if they are an original to any Mopar or if they were an aftermarket? I could order the dual post style but the base on those is much smaller...

    No Valiant Love?

Been bringing this 65 back around. Has been a really fun project, gets lots of looks, and people want to talk to me about it every time I am out for a drive.

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

I have lowered the front a bit more since the original posts. With the car as low as it is now I do get slight rub at full lock when hitting the bump backing out of my driveway. I don’t mind the slight rub. I think it is more a function of how low the car is than anything else.

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

Thanks The back drums are still the same 9” stock style drums just drilled for BBP. The fronts were converted to disk with A proportioning valve and dual pot master before I got the car.

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

Thanks Yes 17x7 Torque Thrust ii Polished. Tires are 215 45 17 No rubbing when turning and plenty of room in the rear wheel openings. I have taken some hard corners to check for any rubbing when tire is leaning and turning. All good. My car is a slant 6 so 215 is more than wide enough to put...

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

Update on the project. Have driven about 75-100 miles on the new setup and all seems very good. Also updated the wheel and tire package on the car.

1/2” x 20 ARP long wheel studs on front disks.

I am also getting alloys and have been considering et thread style nuts. I contacted the wheel manufacturer to see if et thread would work with the wheels and they did not really answer the question.

1/2” x 20 ARP long wheel studs on front disks.

I have been searching here and other places. I have not found any mention of any part numbers, places offering for sale, or anyone actually doing them. I was looking for a longer stud and have not found anything but a standard replacement from Dorman. Is it not something that is done? Thanks

1965 vs 1973 7.25” small bolt pattern axle

That is the link to the ones I bought. The 4 bolt flange that came on the axles is the stock style not the style pictured.

7.25 rear from 5x4” to 5x4.5” bolt pattern

I posted this in another thread but thought it might be easier for someone searching in the future to find in a thread specifically about this. I recently swapped axles in a 7.25 rear from being 4” bolt pattern to 4.5” using axles and drums that I bought from Doctor Diff. The axles have the 4...

1965 vs 1973 7.25” small bolt pattern axle

It is a 4 bolt plate. I will pull the axles and install the new ones. I have dual pattern 9” drums to go with the new axles. Looking forward to having matching 15” wheels all round. Thanks for the help.

1965 vs 1973 7.25” small bolt pattern axle

Are there any differences between a 1965 SBP 7.25” 9” brake axle and a 1973 SBP 9” brake 7.25” axle? Length, flange thickness, spline count, shaft diameter, bearing, mounting plate, etc? I have a 65 valiant with a 73 duster rear end. I bought replacement rear axles with bearings and mounting...
