Pulling Engine/Trans over the winter....Header Question??

On a small block I’m not sure Wally. I know on a big block B-body they need removed to get the trans out.

    Anybody using air shifting

I believe it. 100%. Especially dragsters and door cars with powerglides. It may be something I buy in the future if I get some extra cash.

    Anybody using air shifting

I wish I would have bought the biondo time and rpm shift activator opposed to just the rpm one. I have been wanting to try shifting by time because I have heard its more consistent.

Anyone Using Starting Line Enhancer on A-Body?

That’s the biggest reason I don’t change to a glide. Just too much money to do the whole deal. And if you ever decided to do an air shifter for your 904. I don’t think you’ll regret it. I know people have had issues with turbo action air shifter in the past, but I haven’t seen issues with those...

    727 question

The 1962-1970 front pumps had the cover over the vent because the pump body had a different vent. The 1971-later pumps (which you have) had nothing there so yes that is normal. But it doesn’t hurt to put a plate over it.

Anyone Using Starting Line Enhancer on A-Body?

Air shifter is an awesome way to go as well. Sorry you were talked out of it. I’ve only seen more consistent shifts with my air shifter and others who I race with. It’s pretty simple. I’m shocked others have had issues. Make sure the co2 bottle is full and doesn’t leak. Ensure it’s set between...

Anyone Using Starting Line Enhancer on A-Body?

It’s in the floor to the left of my seat and the brake pedal is about 1 foot ahead of it. It needs moved but that’s another thing on the “to do” list.

Hahah. If you saw where my brake pedal is, you wouldn’t even understand how I drive the car. It sucks

Anyone Using Starting Line Enhancer on A-Body?

Found some when it was first installed in 2018. Can’t believe I don’t have any other photos of it. I hope this helps.

Anyone Using Starting Line Enhancer on A-Body?

I run one and it was a game changer for me when I put it on. My lights really got better when I no longer had to worry about flooring the gas pedal after reacting to the top bulb. I will look for pictures and post them if I have them. If I don't, I will take some when I put my engine in over...

Notable Mopar races east of the Mississippi in 2025?

Norwalk is the best I’ve been to for overall experience. I’ve heard London is just as good attendance wise but I never been. Hope to go this year maybe.

    440-1 flow numbers

Basically everything you had hit on is my understanding for the reason flow numbers are so low out of the box. I know the valve jobs are poor when they are new. And yes the amount gained by a CNC and hand port/finish job is very substantial. If there is anything I would recommend if you are...

    440-1 flow numbers

Thanks for sharing Sean. You’ll have to keep us informed of the direction you go. Either way, it’s gonna be cool to see how fast it goes.

    440-1 flow numbers

Your welcome, happy to share. Just like sharing something that I thought was a cool and interesting experience. I really enjoy learning and am very privileged to have great people close to me who are willing to teach me. If you ever buy an aftermarket block, I would immediately punch it out to...

    440-1 flow numbers

When I was there today, he said he won't even waste the electricity to flow a set of unported 440-1 heads because they are so bad out of the box. He dug through old files today clear back to the 90s. I can't remember the exact numbers from the one set of unported 440-1 heads he found flow...

    440-1 flow numbers

Of course Greg! I highly doubt this build will surpass your current engine, that thing makes a ton of power. And with me only running the -1 head, I won't even come close. One day, just one day maybe, I will get the 572-13 head. This engine will be 541" Indy aluminum low deck block 14.8:1...
  23. 71Demon528

    440-1 flow numbers

I believe it Greg. If I ever build another engine, it will absolutely be a 572-13 motor.

    440-1 flow numbers

Yes sir Sean, definitely only one piece of the puzzle that’s for sure. Figured I’d post this on here because I know a lot are interested in flow numbers. I’d love a set of -13s on this combo. Tim and I have talked about making that happen but unfortunately don’t really have that kind of money...

    440-1 flow numbers

Honestly I don’t know anyone running those heads. On Moparts I believe there are a lot of people that run them. Andy F has a lot of experience with them. I wish I knew someone using them to give you feedback.

Correct. My friend with the green Cuda we are building a 511 for, he got victors.

That would be a real sweet buy! Wish I could buy it as well hahah
  30. 71Demon528

    440-1 flow numbers

Absolutely. Both sets heads were originally CNC’d from Indy and Tim hand ported them as well. I don’t have the sheet in front of me for exact numbers and I don’t remember precisely. But the peak CFM for both were I believe the same or within a few CFM of one another. The main thing we noticed...
