63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I'm looking seriously at this one by Modern driveline, the line going in is at a 90 degree angle and out the side vs out the back. plus it looks shorter, I wish they'd put measurements in their ads. I think I just need the cylinder and the bracket that it is retained in.

ok, had a little time today to do something before leaving for Philly~ engine/trans setup with exhaust, figuring on an external slave cylinder. Zach's helping me out, but all are welcome to voice. Oh, the large socket represents a slave cylinder  going to finish packing now~...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Well, my phone died just as I was taking these pics. maybe gives a better relation from the torsion bar to the end of the Clutch rod end. Anyway, this is it in the garage until next week, like Wednesday:( it's all just thinking about possibilities~ I do like more and more about an external...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I'm getting really good a stabbing the A833 back into its home. I put it back together including the exhaust just to check the possibility of a slave push or pull vs internal T.O. bearing. First off it's really difficult to get a decent pic, need a 3d camera! lol how about a "bracket"...

    [WANTED] I need a 9 1/4 diaphram pressure plate

Hi, I'm in need, I mean I NEED, a 9 1/4 DIAPHRAM pressure plate so I can make some progress. I have a 9 1/4 friction disc as pictured but the pressure plate itself is useless for my needs. It's for my '63 dodge dart with an A833. 122 tooth flywheel so help! ;) dne' my build...

The slave cylinder that Gasser put up a couple posts ago. I just wonder if 1.375 is enough pull? If I could incorporate it https://www.wilwood.com/mastercylinders/MasterCylinderList?group=Slave%20Cylinder I...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

This is good information~ I was thinking that perhaps if/when a regular throw out bearing starts howling, one still has to remove the transmission, but it's much less money vs a Mcleod hydraulic T.O. bearing. I'm thinking to put the transmission back in temporarily just to visualize the...

It's just nice to have re-assurance during a build, I'm in uncharted territory and really appreciate the advice during the journey~ I wouldn't be here if I knew everything  but I do the appreciate awesome compliment:thankyou::thankyou::thankyou::thankyou::thankyou:

I think it’s a wonderful trait Jd, hm. Guess I need to go by the steel supply store, they have neat things;) :thankyou:

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Hey JD, The aluminum plate in the pic was just for mocking up the "plate", it will be steel, but thickness? I really don't know how thick it should be. The firewall does contribute some considerable strength? So, maybe just 3/16? The tubular spacers~ Thank you for that idea :thankyou: ! That's...

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

Hi, yeah I know~ I'll be on this for a while  Template time~ it's easy to do this with no dash, brake assembly out of the way, the pattern is a little higher where the CMC (clutch master cylinder) comes out due to the angle of the dangle The white material is 3/16 aluminum sandwiched...

For Retired Hippies Only. What are you listening to?

I was just listening to Wolverton Mountain, it was played frequently in high school '71-73, we had a juke box~ it was cool! It's just a fun song, I was humming it all day today~

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I want you guys to know this is still in the rough phases of developement, I really enjoy this stuff~ The wood piece represents the future strengthening plate, this one I have to redo, but gives the idea. The wood will go between the firewall, then the plate, then the steering column keeper...

    I need a hydraulic clutch

    Hi Beams, I bought a re-conditioned 10" and 9 1/4 pressure plate off of ebay. I wasn't 100% sure of which I needed, so I bought both! I have the friction disc which measures 9 1/4 https://www.ebay.com/itm/263993572037

63 Dodge Dart, now let me see;)

I feel like I accomplished something today, the fan shroud, I think it will work just fine, a pain to install, but not that bad. I covered my not so pretty welds with some super body epoxy, then drill the necessary holes a little larger for "adjustment". hm, what's next? ;) As said, a nice bead...

    I need a hydraulic clutch

This is my blog on the 67-68 Mustang Modern Driveline hydraulic clutch intallation. Also shows how the slave cylinder works. I've been having problems with my Classic cars and tools. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't:( https://classiccarsandtools.com/?p=6366

    I need a hydraulic clutch

Hey JD~ the steering column "interference" is misleading~ the hydraulic line would go easily below that, but they make an 90 degree adapter to the other adapter which will put the line against the firewall. Since I have the transmission out, I'm going with the hydraulic throw out bearing. When...

    I need a hydraulic clutch

Thank you JD :thankyou: I feel I can continue with this thread, I'm actually having fun with this. Got the part yesterday and quite excited that I'm sure this will work. Yes, there will be modifications, that's the challenge. I'm not waiting for the Mcleod adapter for the little clutch mc, one...

    I need a hydraulic clutch

When I post outside my build thread it’s generally a plea for advice. If you know of a “Chrysler “ part that will bolt right on, give me a part number;). However this tiny Ford part may save the day or not, then I just go onto the next idea. Just having fun with different ideas and problem...
