I have no idea what those are actually worth so I'll start at $75 CAD + shipping. I presume they are small block. They sure do shine nicely! Brad

    Removing the convertible top

Hi everyone, Looking for some directions on the step by step procedure to remove the convertible top on a 67 dart so I can get the material replaced, the frame painted and greased. It is in fantastic shape but not the color I want. Has glass window. Motor works great. I'll be replacing the fluid...

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

The unit that was in there was just a short block attached to the trans, no lifters or anything. Cam and cylinders/pistons had been exposed to the elements for many years it looked like and was covered in rust. It is now scrap metal at the recyclers and I am starting from scratch in the engine bay

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

Aware of the small block to big block trans differences, thanks though. As the post I started this with states, the 426 has a proper trans included. My thoughts are that I can use my current trans with a 340/360 I might get instead to avoid the large block install hassles.

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

I don't actually know what year trans is in it. My understanding is that the motor and trans that came with it were swapped there by a previous owner a long time ago and it originally was a 6 cyl. Might be the original trans. Not sure. I have to take it out anyway so I will figure it out at...

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

FYI the guy wants 10k but is negotiable for the complete 426 wedge and tranny that started the conversation. As I mentioned, already built to 500+ HP documented so it might be a cool way to go as well. As Tommy said above...already doing resto so perhaps could still be in the cards. I think...

Stock crank and connecting rods with 9:1 pistons, new comp cam flat tappet and lifters, cloyes timing chain, Melling oil pump $850 CAD. Ready for any other goodies. Dart already has 8 3/4 rear end, I kept the mini starter...

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

Lots of good feedback, thank you.. Lots to consider. Might be less hassle and reasonable equivalent benefit (other than the cool factor of course, and since I don't plan on anything more than a great sounding cruiser) to do up a nice 340 instead. There a several around here for sale, stramped...

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

I definitely would like to go OD. Which tranny do you suggest for this application? EFI swap would be a for sure thing. What do you mean by "matching the cam" to the cars specs? I have asked him for the TC and cam spec.

    426 Wedge possible install challenges

Hey all My first post/request for info. I have access to a purpose built, well running 500HP 426 Wedge that a guy is removing from his 69 charger. I have seen it run and it comes with the also purpose built 727 attached. I am wondering what types of challenges I might encounter getting it...

New Member - 67 Dart GT Conv

Hello all, New member here. Literally picking up my project this weekend and glad I found this forum. Lots of knowledge to help me through the resto. In my early 20's I owned a 69GTS that someone had jammed a 440 into with the biggest set of headers I have ever seen. It was a beautiful car...
