    UKMopars online register

To all UK owners of Mopar vehicles (past and present), you may be interested to join and add your pride and joy to the UKMopars online Register: UKMopars Specifically for this forum: there are only a dozen A-bodies registered, I'm sure we can improve that!

    Power to Manual conversion questions

Many thanks to all for the very useful answers and info. Parts availability in the UK is almost non-existent. I have to get everything shipped, that's why I need to make doubly sure I order all the bits and that they are right. I have quotes for remanufacturing of my booster, but even then...

    Power to Manual conversion questions

Does the firewall need to be modified? I have never removed the booster so have no idea what things look like underneath. The only clue I have of the differences is this: Regarding the interior parts I am still interested. If you PM me with a price etc

    Power to Manual conversion questions

Thanks Sedanman. I quite like the other MC because it looks original. Does that mean the MC is bolted directly on the firewall without any gasket to protect the paint? By the way: do you still have these red interior parts I was interested in?

    Power to Manual conversion questions

Hello, Am am looking at converting my brakes from power to manual. The car is a 67 Valiant with 170 slant 6 and factory power front disc brakes. This is temporary measure to give me time to find a replacement booster or get mine re-manufactured. Therefore I don't want to modify my original...

European A-body owners: where are you?

Although I don't reply to each post I am still following this thread with much interest. And judging by the number of views, I am not the only one! I am amazed at the quantity and variety of cars and countries represented so far. Thanks to all who responded. I know there are others out...

[WANTED] Button capped fasteners for parcel tray

Hello, I am looking for the original fasteners that clip the parcel tray board to the shelf body and look like this: They would be located where the blue dots are on the bottom photo. The 1967 parts catalog lists them as Chrysler Part Number 6000 903, with two per car on all...

    Spotted - European A-bodies

No, it is just that I have only partially obscured the license plate :-) The F suffix indicates the car was first registered in 1967.

Spotted - European Mopars (non A-Bodies)

We first spotted this 1960 Chrysler Saratoga one Sunday morning last December, in the car park of the local supermarket (first three photos). It had been put up for sale "up north" and sold the previous week, so this must have been was one of the first time the new owner was out with it...

    Spotted - European A-bodies

I suppose it is more for face-to-face encounters with cars (these threads are common on "classic cars" forums). Maybe we need another one for "For Sale" ones? Very impressive: I think this merits better than this thread anyway: can we chat about it offline? I'll PM you later.

Spotted - European Mopars (non A-Bodies)

This RHD 1968 Plymouth Fury III appeared in the area about 2 years ago and we see it quite frequently (these photos were taken at a local American car meet last Sunday). From what I gathered it started its life as one of the offical cars of the Canadian Embassy in London (and was grey at the time).

    Spotted - European A-bodies

This RHD 1967 Barracuda appeared over a year ago but has not yet left the yard where it is stored, so I assume it is off-road or not running. It seems orignal (down to the interior and steering wheel) apart from the boot lid panel which looks like it is from the 1969 model.

Spotted - European Mopars (non A-Bodies)

We have a thread for posting photos of A-bodies: http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=238054 This one is for posting photos of other interesting Mopars that you have spotted. Again, there are no particular rules or time limits, so it can be at a car show a some years ago or...

    Spotted - European A-bodies

This is a thread for posting photos of A-bodies that you have seen round your neck of the wood. There are no particular rules or time limits, so it can be at a car show a couple of years ago or just yesterday in the street.

European A-body owners: where are you?

Thanks for these photos: I am always amazed as I would have thought there were at the time many European cars more suited for police duty, especially with the kind of winter weather (maybe wrongly?) associated with Sweden! On the second photo there is also a 60 or 61 Valiant in the background...

European A-body owners: where are you?

Hi Djakken and Plashy, Both very nice cars, but I'm afraid I have a bias towards the 67 Valiant  I read somewhere that they were used as police cars in Sweden? Also I gathered that the American car scene is very active in your country. Keep them coming!

    68 plymouth valiant question

No, I think there were wheels included in the base price :-). Note that the two "basic" groups have the same order code (351), so that cannot be the way to select the wheel diameter. The way I understand it is that these denote packages of options that included a small wheel related upgrade...

European A-body owners: where are you?

My fellow Europeans, it seems a shame to have our own board and not make more use of it :-( So to jump-start the conversation, I am asking quite literally: where are you? Where in Europe do you live? What is your A-body pride and joy? I will start the ball rolling: I'm in the UK...

    68 plymouth valiant question

That's correct: in the 1967 redesign the Valiant 200 was dropped as a separate model and the name became an optional "decor group" for the 100. Attached is an extract of the 1967 Plymouth Valiant Car and Equipment Prices card. I haven't seen the cards but I assume this was carried over in 1968...

    Lower cost carpet options???

It is possible to cut, shape and glue and get good results. My dad and I did just that with the Valiant back in 1985 - no choice as molded carpet was unavailable then and we could not afford a "classic car" interior trimmer. The carpet is still there and looking good 28 years later but the car...

    Correct upper coolant hose?

Schneiderman , ChazRam: are your radiators original? On my 1967 170ci and on most slant sixes I have seen the radiator inlet is directly opposite the engine outlet. This makes sense and means a cut to size 90 degree elbow is all you should ever need as many people suggested on this thread...

    mileage on your car

The speedo on our '67 Valiant with 170ci Slant 6 is currently showing 69240 Km (the photo was taken for the insurance renewal in October). I do know it has rolled over once as I witnessed it as a child in the late 70's, so this is actually 169240 Km (105183 Miles). The engine has never been...

    1967 Plymouth Valiant Signet 4-Door Sedan, Slant 6 170ci, 4-speed manual - Part 1

This car was first registered in France in Oct. 1968. Assembled in Holland, it has the unusual combination of a 170ci Slant 6 engine with factory 4-speed manual. My dad bought it in Oct. 1972 with 38000 Km (23600 Miles). For the next 16 to 20 years it was the family's second car until it was...
