With only 4 possible choices, 2 sixes, the 273, and 318, I would think lots of them were 273s as buyers may have been heeding the old "never buy something its first year of release" advice.

The 4-dr was sold two to one over our 2-dr's. Interesting info It would be even more interesting to know whats left. Remember this car was popular in other country's I'm sure that's only U.S sales.
I see on the link the 67,68, and 69 model year only shows 100's and signets. I wonder if the 200's are included there somewhere?
No I don't think so. I have an original brochure here and it shows 100, 200, and signet. It does say "200" decor group as a dress up option for the 100. Deluxe cloth/cloth vinyl seats, three spoke wheel w/horn ring, colored floor mats, cig lighter, dual horns, body side moldings, and a "Valiant Two Hundred" fender emblem.

sounds like the 200 those years is a trim package not a separate model with a unique vin number

That's correct: in the 1967 redesign the Valiant 200 was dropped as a separate model and the name became an optional "decor group" for the 100. Attached is an extract of the 1967 Plymouth Valiant Car and Equipment Prices card. I haven't seen the cards but I assume this was carried over in 1968 and 1969. In 1970 the 100 and Signet model names were dropped altogether.
To put the $72 cost of the 200 decor option in perspective, the price difference between 100 and Signet models was $145 in 1967. And $145 represented between 6.5% and 7% of the base MSRP of a Valiant 100.

So I see "basic" 13" wheels were an added cost? What the heck did they put on if you didn't want to pay that?

No, I think there were wheels included in the base price
. Note that the two "basic" groups have the same order code (351), so that cannot be the way to select the wheel diameter. The way I understand it is that these denote packages of options that included a small wheel related upgrade (something worth only $3.10 extra on 14in wheel: tyres? hubcaps?) as well as other options unrelated to wheels, for instance (I am making these up...): tinted glass, undercoating, etc.).The Valiant being an economy car only has the "basic" accessory group on offer. For comparison, the 1967 Barracuda price list has the following accessory groups (sorry I haven't scanned this one):
- 351 basic (without bucket seat) $153.5
- 351 basic (with bucket seats) $142.65
- 358 sport (convertible only) $94.30
- 358 sport (fastback only) $105.35
- 358 sport (hadtop only) $126.65
- 360 decor $40.40
- 367 formula (8 cylinder only) $177.50

That makes sense. Say the 351 is a chrome package, it costs different depending on what other options you have.
