The feedback I've gotten from friends and one restoration shop is that the MP springs in the past lost their arc after only a few years. Unless they've changed in the last couple of years, I'd avoid them.

'68 and '69, yes. '67 is the same as '65-6 and will also interchange with the '60-4 if the extra ground terminal on the '65-7 switch isn't needed.

Both the switch and lock cylinder are '69 only. The bezel is '69 only also.

The bucket (seat and shell) are the same for both sides (2290761 is the assembly). The only different one I know of is the export version for RH drive cars, but, I think it's mainly the bulb and maybe the seat where the bulb dimples are located.

All V8 A-bodies from '66 on came with 10" rear brakes. They were optional on 6cyl. cars and standard on disc brake cars.

'66 to '72, so 7 years used the same 10" brakes on both 7 1/4 and 8 3/4 rear ends. Even real late '65's had them.

Easy enough to add if you have a dremel tool.

The flanged 10" rear drums started in 1970, and were the same ones used on a 7 1/4 too. They interchange with the non-flanged ones used on the '69 and earlier cars. the flanged ones just had a bit more cooling capacity.

I did that several times. It took me about a week (a full 7 days) to do one car using a spot weld cutter (actually several of them). Start with all the unbolt parts. The later shafts had the oil grooves stock.

I believe the brackets and pulleys are different too. Using the later ones along with what you have might do the trick.

'62 and later poly 318 cranks will work in an LA 273/318/340 engine. Just rebalance. Don't use the '61 and older as they have extended 8 bolt flanges. 273 cranks were forged from '64-7. '68-9 273 cranks were forged (and the same crank as a 318 those years) Adding Mallory Metal will depend on...

No 318's whether poly or LA had a small register for the converter. That was a '67 and earlier forged crank slant 6 and 273 thing only.

'67-9. '66 and earlier use the large diameter return hose.

The possible downside to running heavier valve springs is the extra wear on the cam and lifters. If it's just going to be a cruiser and not going to be revved way up, why do it? No upside IMO. The existing cam and lifters are used to those springs.

No, it looks to be a 360 converter. That will fit all V8' except the forged crank 273. He just needs to remove that pilot bushing.

The stock 273 valve springs are all the same....2bbl and 4bbl. 318's used the same springs too. When installing replacement springs and retainers, check the diameters too, as some will rub the stock adjustable rockers. That's where using some bee hives can be beneficial. As for spring tension...
