I posted a while back that my hood got scrunched against the spare tire of a SUV. Well the guy who hit me gave me some cash but I needed it for groceries at the time. I am now in a better place and can come pick up a hood this weekend. Anyone have one in driving distance? Tim

Hi, I just ordered a new one, $18. I had a lock smith here and he spent 2 hours and could not figure it out. He said new ones would be really expensive. He was going to charge me $240 to make a key, lucky for me he was incompetent and left without trying to charge me.

I went and had the bearing done. $200, but it is done and the car sounds and feels much better.

$26 for the bearing and $32 for the seals. I just bought them, first place sold the bearing but not the seals. I might try to do this but it seemed just as easy to get the whole thing. I will see if my axle still looks OK and decide from there.

I need the drivers axle with bearings and seals on it. I think it should be cheaper than buying new ones and having them pressed in. The car is a 65 Dart. I will pick up in the wives minivan.

anyone have a seat belt bolt for cheap? I lost mine somewhere while I was installing my new to me buckets in the wagon. Also I think I need a lap belt for the rear that clips to the metal eyelets under the seat.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but my speedo in my 65 wagon makes a lot of noise from the dash. A loud rattle especially when accelerating. Also it is way off (high) and the needle jumps around at freeway speeds.

Is it possible to pull the stick on the stock Hurst 4 speed? It is not bolted in.
