Also, the loss of free play in the new suspension parts transfers more stress to the worn bushings. Of course, Autozone definitely sucks, Rainman.

To change the spring rate, you need to temper the bar.

    Installing new shocks questions/tips???

Safety is #1. Always use at least 2 jackstands, and make sure the car is stable before getting under it. When you're working on brakes, don't push down the pedal when the brakes are apart, or you'll pull in air through the wheel cylinders.

    car pulling to the right

It could easily be any of the things listed above, start with the cheapest, rotate the front tires and bleed the brakes. If you don't know when the front hoses were replaced, it wouldn't hurt to replace them now. I had a car pull to the left when the right caliper was leaking, and dripped...

    Torsion Bar bushings

I think it's your strut rod bushing, which involves the steps mentioned above to remove the lower control arm. When the LCA is loose, you can unbolt the strut rod and back it out of the bushing, use a 2 piece replacement, or hammer in a 1 piece bushing. While you have the torsion bars out, you...

Upper Ball Joint came out while driving

This might be a good time to upgrade to tubular arms. There is one kind that breaks, though. Maybe someone can recommend a good brand. Definitely replace both sides, it's not worth saving a few bucks.

Leaf spring question for the road race guys...

Having them de-arched sounds like a good plan. At least you don't have two left feet!8)

What leafs do you guys use?

If you want better handling, you're better off with a de-arched spring. Drag springs, like the SS ones, lengthen in a turn, and change the steering characteristics. Good for what they're designed for: 1/4 mile runs.
