If I'm not mistaken, you can take a Dremel and open up the manifold to a 2-1/4" opening. And yes the exhaust "pro" is full of it, they were just too lazy to do things the right way.

Ed, I question your exhaust reccomendation. Since the exhaust gasses cool substantially in the muffler dont you wanna go smaller to increase scavenging? Like run 2.25 to the muffler and 2.125 (2-1/8") from the muffler out? Or are you reccomending the 2.5" out for more sound? btw I watched...

I'd go TTI or Dougs since those are really the only A-body V8 headers that fit like they should, or so I hear. Beware, I hear they are pricey (but slant six headers cost more lol) That's all I can tell you since I rarely wander out of slantland. (what am I doing here anyways?) Good luck on...

If its stock I would say 2-1/4" dual and use the X-pipe. X-pipes always give gain. Are you running headers or manifolds?

Tha was actualy th link I was speaking of Rob. Again don't waste your money. Why pay $367 to buy a system you have to install yourself when you could have a competant exhaust shop make a custom system and install it for around $250?

Wow..... Tyere are companies that make bolt in exhaust systems, I don't have the link but I'm sure someone does. Don't waste your money, take it to an exhaust shop and make you a 2-1/4" system with a good turbo muffler. Don't let them be lazy and cut the pipe of the the manifold flange and...

To make life easy I went to autozoo and picked up a gasket kit for my car, don't remember the price but I don't think it was $40 or more. It came with the gasket where the manifolds bolt to the heads as well as the gasket that sandwhiches between the exhuast and intake manifold. EDIT: here is...

Shoot screw that, check the classifieds here and on SS.org cause I picked mine up 2 years ago for only $10+shipping. We had to do a slight mod on the choke pocket and it worked beautifuly. EDIT: You are talking about exhaust manifolds right? Not intake?
