All true but in a slant six the advantage of the long rod lies in the fact that it enables you to use a modern lightweight piston.

Hey Rob, I talked to a guy on Facebook a while back that cut a Carter Thermoquad in halve with a hacksaw(yes, a hacksaw) and made his own progressive two barrel for his slant six.
