I vote for a vinyl top. A white top will be cooler if you live somewhere hot and don't have a/c but both colors will look good. A matching bumblebee stripe would look good with either color.

How well had the flashing/bondo held up? How long do you think it was like this before you revealed it? Just asking becasue I remember my dad telling me about folks doing this a long time ago and I can't imagine it would have lasted too long.

I've got a dumb question I suppose. What does "triple" stand for in "triple black". I've always assumed it meant black paint, black vinyl top, and black interior? Since this car does not have a black vinyl top I must be wrong ... so what is the third "black" exactly?

I'd like to know this as well. I know the headlight bucket is the same for 67-68, but different for 69. But I have seen fiberglass fenders that advertise interchangability between 67-68 and 73+ (might have been 72+).

The build sheet indicates a transverse stripe. Is that the bumblebee tail stripe ir the narrow longitudinal stripe down the sides? The long stripes might not look as odd.

One thing to consider. According to the mod top registry there ware only 16 GTS mod tops in 1969. How many of these GTSs had the 383 rather than the 340? How many of those had the red stripe? You could have a 1 of 1 with this weird combo. http://www.mooresmopars.com/modregistry.html

Do you have a broadcast sheet too? Might have been a typo on the fender tag considering the rest of the colors and options.

Was the car originally black? If not can you see any of the original color anywhere in the trunk, under the hood, behind door panels etc? With the X9 paint code I wonder if it was a special order? The only pictures of mod-top darts I've seen are with a bright green metallic which looked real...

Did you put the scoop on the hood yourself? If so, nice job, and any photos of the process? Who did you get the scoop from?
