    Structural Foam for chassis stiffening

Most of the foam in new cars is for energy absorption (occupant protection in a collision) and sound control. Different densities of foam are used. For occupant protection it's ridged foam. For sound and panel flutter it's often a flexible foam. The plastic gussets mentioned above, snap into...

needs a little help shocks and springs

You need new springs, shocks and shackles. How tall are your front tires?

needs a little help shocks and springs

This is very simple. Springs hold up the car and shocks control the spring movement. If your springs can't hold the car up, you need new springs.

    Mopar action green brick formula

That's not what I read, but I could be wrong.

    Mopar action green brick formula

The biggest part of the green brick formula, and the part least mentioned, was the driver.

    Frame rail options

Behind the cradle mount is probably the worst place for things to be rusted out structurally. Surprised it hasn't folded already. I really don't have any recommendations without seeing the damage and seeing what thes caps look like. Section of a rail on these old cars wouldn't bother me if...

    Leaf Spring Selection

I did buy my XHD springs, 8 years ago. Your comment isn't the first I have seen about a quality decline. Looks like the rumors are true.

    Leaf Spring Selection

I have the XHD springs, ordered from the local Dodge dealer. I'm happy with them.

Leaf Spring Removal - Easier Way?

The only thing hard about this is that the nuts on the "U" bolts can be a *****.

    Decent handling susp setup?

Tire choice is a big deal. I will admit BFG Radial TAs look cool, but in reality they are just a basic non performance tire.

    Torsion bars and exhaust heat.

I can rule out the rear springs, I replaced those a few years ago with new Mopar XHD units. But I didn't think about the other two suggestions. I will check those out, thanks.

    Torsion bars and exhaust heat.

Thanks guys. Looks like it's just old and time to replace.

    Torsion bars and exhaust heat.

It's possible. I know they haven't been touched for the 14 years I have owned it.

    Torsion bars and exhaust heat.

My left side torsion bar, in my opinion, is failing. It could just be old. Front left corner has slowly sunk over the years and I have ran out of adjustment on the bolt. I have no failure of the mounting points. My exhaust does run very close to the left torsion bar, about 3/8" clearance (tti...

Got new shocks for my 73 Swinger....

I'm not spending that much on something that rides on 195/75/14, white walls. Those shocks would just make the wheel covers fall off.

Got new shocks for my 73 Swinger....

I put a full set of shocks on the wife's 73 Dart, $80 for all 4. It rides like a recliner on the highway, has absolutely no road feel and being that it doesn't have a sway bar, comes close to digging the rockers into the pavement on hard corners.

6 pt bar on street car

Putting in a 6 point bar is only one part of a safety system that is designed to work together. Personally, I don't believe it's a good idea if you are going to rely on factory seatbelts to restrain the occupants. But really, it's 6 of one, half dozen of the other. From a collision...

    Front Suspension ROT

You have rotted structure and even worse, a rotted suspension pick up point. I would do a full rail replacement. Better start checking the rest of the car too. If you can't do this yourself be ready for a big bill. $1,000+

Cuda sits to high after PST Torsion bar install

You don't have the weight of the drivetrain in the car so setting ride height is pointless. Get the car together then adjust the torsion bars.

    Tire wear, what's causing this! ? ?

You need to get your front end in good enough shape to hold an alignment, then you need to get an alignment.
