rear disc brakes on 8 3/4

Rear disc kit from dr diff. I believe it's from/based on a ford mustang cobra setup.

    Upgrading BRAKES >_<

You can get an adjustable prop valve from summit/jegs/napa/etc and set it up to have the correct front back bias (but quickly allows you to change it if you should swap to 4 wheel disc). That said I would first try changing the M/C, just go to the local autoparts store and ask for the off a 73...

    Upgrading BRAKES >_<

It sounds like you don't have the correct master cylinder on the car (or it's bad). Also was your car a 4 wheel drum car? If so did you change the prop valve?

disk swap on '74 or keep drums?

Car with 4 wheel drums got the sbp. That said they also made a lbp 7.25 rear if disc were ordered and you got a slant 6 or 318 (318 could've also gotten the 8.25 if ordered).

disk swap on '74 or keep drums?

A rear axle swap isn't hard. Also if you go with the A body 8.25 rear, you can convert the rear to disc brake very easily giving you 4 wheel disc brake. Just remember safety first and that disc trump drums anyday!

    KH Discs vs 73+ Discs

Wrong, EBC makes pads for the single piston caliper. You didn't plug in the correct info. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=181392

    Brake Rotor Choices 73+

Just run the 11.75 rotors and call it good (don't forget to use the 11.75 caliper adapters). Just how you'll need to run/use at least 15" rims/wheels.

Anyone Running Magnumforce Wilwood 4 piston brake kit?

Call dr diff he can set you up just fine. You could also run a viper setup from him but call and ask because it's the best way to make sure you're getting what you want.

    Growling Disc Brakes

What master cylinder do you have? Power or manual brakes?

    Rear brake uncertainty

    I like rear disc brakes

WTF!!! Can Someone I.D. Theses Brakes!

Looks like mid to late 70s pin style b body brakes on 11.75 rotors. Nothing wrong with that setup.

    1967 brakes

The lines the should be fine (maybe a little bend to get the booster in there that's it). Also the master cylinder is different between manual and power brakes.

    1967 brakes

You'll need different Pushrod in there.

    4 Wheel Disc Oversize Opinions

Yeah I know. I should've stated for the 8.75/Dana 60. You really can't beat that jeep rear disc setup on the 8.25 though.

    4 Wheel Disc Oversize Opinions

Use the dr diff kit for the rear! Waaaay better setup than a lot of other kits out there.

    Oem disc brakes rear

Try Dr. Diff, uses Cobra based brakes if I'm not mistaken.

8 1/4 rear and jeep brakes!

Yep cheap easy disc brake upgrade for the 8.25, why more people don't do it is beyond me.

    ebc brake pads...

I have the EBC red stuff brakes on both front and rear on my daily driver. Best damn brake pads I've ever used! They do produce a lot of dust during the wearing/bedding period but after that close to nothing.

    8 1/4 rear disks

The reason why 96 and older is the spline change in the rear end itself most of the time you're also looking for a limited slip unit and better gears. 96 and older are direct swaps I'm sure the disc setup is the same but force of habit is to say 96 and older.

    8 1/4 rear disks

Go to junkyard, find 96 and older jeep grand Cherokee with rear disc brakes. Remove all disc brake setup then clean and bolt to your 8.25 rear. It's a direct bolt on/swap.

    mods to make booster fit

The most I can think of is the off set bracket to fit a bb or a Hemi ( gen 2 ).
  25. 1970Duster

    power brake booster

Pretty sure they're the same just a different master cylinder and prop valve.

    1965 Valiant disc brake upgrade

You're going to have change your wheel size. 13" won't fit any of the disc brake setups. I would go with the single piston (73+ a body) setup because the parts a super easy to find and you have a much much larger wheel/rim selection. Plus with just a caliper adaptor you can run/use the 11.75...

    Brakes locking up.

There is an adjustable pushrod if I'm not mistaken.
