Got it to where it comes off the line nice after a lot of tuning last night and today but now I have popping in the exhaust at around 3k Rpm. Chasing that issue now but slowly getting better. This car was held together with boogers and bubble gum I swear.

That’s what I’m wanting is a double pumper. Got it to where it’s way better after I adjusted the flap on the secondaries and made the whole difference. It doesn’t completely die when I floor it from a stop now just slow. Gears will fix that issue and probably a performance ignition box.

It’s getting way to much fuel in it. Put the accelerator pump on lowest point and helped it out but not a whole lot. Going to pull the jets and see what they are and go smaller if needed to see if that helps.

So the issue is stock cam(if not stock not much bigger) big intake and big carb. Probably going to go down to a 600cfm from the 750 that’s on it and see if that helps more. But at this point I’m Just glad I got it to where it actually runs decent.

First track results was a 14.4 @ 96 the thing is a pig off the line bogs hard unless I slow roll into the throttle. But once off the line it picks up great. The 2.94 gears ain’t helping at all so guess that and going to a dual plane RPM intake vs the huge single plane I have on it.

When you come from a mid 9 second daily driven hellcat everything seems slow just not this slow.

Well guy said it had a small cam in it but is also the same guy who had a copper tube rigged for a kick down so I’m sure it’s stock. Going to run through the rear gears and compression test today.

Found problem the accel wires were falling apart in th boot causing it not to spark or not spark at all. MSD wires fixed it.

This is the pos I'm working with some no name HEI. Only thing I can come up with is the accels are falling apart in the boots. Looks messy but at this point I disconnected all the wires.

No didn't pull it out any its a vacuum advance.

I think that's the problem its not clocking the same. That or the cheapo acells I got are falling apart already.

I kinda worded title wrong the dizzy isn't new and I'm not sure what brand it is honestly no markings or numbers which is odd. I'm thinking of just buying a new mad one.

I'm having hell in a hand basket in my 440 now. The distributer I have is a pita because I've never seen it and can't find a diagram for the wires to go on to it so my car is backfiring and won't start and I have the fireing order right I believe.18436572 not sure what's going on.

*update* adjusted carb and now I have more power and can drive it now but still need to regime it. It is a night and day difference with just getting fuel right.

Car is staying in Colorado with me. It came up from Arkansas. I'm going tear into it this weekend and do all the small things.

Lol yea I got this as a project so nothing that's going on is in expected just wanna get it half way decent for some weekend drives. The Engine is bone stock minus the carb. The more I tinker with it the more I'm thinking ignition timing is off.

That's all possible I'm doing timing and all this weekend its not a big deal I got it as a project car and to cruise around the base and city on weekends. I'm gonna redo the whole engine when I get back from deployment.
