    no, the trans is not a lock up unit, 4028464 from 76/77. The new custom made converter is also not a lock up unit…..at least i did definitively not order a lock up unit. The converter stator splines inner diameter is much bigger compared to a stock converter, even bigger than the inner Diameter...

    yes, bolt is loose just for reference. I removed it to check the length / depth of the attaching holes. Ok, i´ll remove all bolts and check if the Flexplate is tight…..at least it was some years until i put in the new converter. Michael

    Ok, took starter out and the inspection cover off. Absolutely no Signs of contact there or at the converter. The bolts are correct length, the mounting tabs are a little longer than the bolts - nothing obviously wrong…..so i´m waiting for manufacturer to come back to me, hope they have some...

    i checked the converter snout before Installation, it fit´s perfectly into the crank after removing some paint. The welded on tabs are pretty Long and massive, so i do not think the bolts (ARP 7/16") Bottom out. Installation went smooth without Trouble. Inspection cover removed, no contact...

    no, there´s no contact between bolts and block, they are tight. Flexplate is the old one.

    i already rebuilt the diff with the Carbon Discs twice….new S-Spring and 75w140 gear oil with friction modifier...i think it just can´t hold up. Thanks for your suggestions, already thought about using a Detroit truetrac diff, but i´d like the spool more. You can´t rely on the calipers to hold...

    yes, of course the VB is different if it´s a LU trans. VB is easily changed, i see more Problems in the pump / Input shaft area.
