I suggest you get the one in the salvage yard, good price, put $2 worth of contacts in (100's of videos on how) and clean it. then you know what you have and save yourself $20 on shipping a used starter plus purchase price

even with a survivor car I'm sure that alternator has been changed at least twice since new, but if it still works then wait until it dies to replace it

for what you would pay for a pulley, and shipping you can get a whole rebuilt alternator for, there only a little over $40 new

why would you want to convert the front to SBP (small bolt pattern) disc brakes, and convert the back to big bolt pattern?:oops: you would need to carry 2 spare tires, do a full large bolt coversion or leave your rear with small bolt and convert the front to discs

FWIW the M body cars as well as F bodys used nearly the same setup; it looks a little different but will work, was used on all engines

all those are is a temprature switch, closed when cold to allow power to flow, open when hot to break the current

earlier year? you mean it was pre 72? anything from 72-80 should be what you need changed in 1981 to the first generation ram

I just bough one last week, came from aziona has original paint but dents too; nice though compared to rust! I bought it through my local salvage yard, if you have a place that deals with southern parts call them and make a down payment on one I paid $1200 for mine

I looked up the B van website and it says its for 71-77 B vans? might be the wrong one, thats not new enough for what I need can you post a link? no unfortunately they don't, closest one is nearly 1500 miles away. normal junkyards think things are worth gold here
