    Yes there is a little room. I have read the cone style 489 suregrip is made by Auburn and you are not suppose to use synthetic gear lube. Also read if you add to much friction additive they will act like a open rear end. Not sure if this is correct or not?

    Adding a vent on a 727

    I didn't think there was a vent on a 727 either. But I have read there is a vent by the front pump. But this vent is behind the converter.

    What is the best way to add a vent to my 727? Transmission is in the car. I am having issues with the dipstick popping out. Thought about drlling a small hole in top of the dipstick right below the handle.

    If it is louder than a locker you better pull it out. My locker can be fairly loud been that away since day one 25 years.
