Those are left hand U bolts. You need to use right hand U bolts.

You need a torsion bar clamp tool so you can really give it a smack.

I have replaced original ones and there is usally a shim or washer that it with the arm and it all fits tight.

OI have done some research on installing a ford ranger 8.8 into a mopar a body. It looks some of you shortend the longer axle and tube. And others bolted it in with no modifications other than the spring perches. So without cutting and bolting it in as is have you guys done this without any issues?

Yes it would fit.Or you can pull the shaft out of the 73 column and put it in your 67 column.

I have a housing that is 1/2 narrower than a stock A body housing.Can I cut axles with a chop saw and tapper the end of the axles with a grinder.I need to cut about a 1/4 - 3/8 of each axle.

I have dropped in V8's more than a few times into slant 6 car and never changed the bars.I never really noticed a differance in handling.

If it is a small area cut it out and weld in new metal.If it is a larger area I would replace the whole inner rocker.
