    Plugs won't make it diesel?Inferior or improper plugs will make it diesel.Although I would check the timing first.Then I would make sure and run good fuel and it would not hurt to dump some additive in your fuel tank to help clean the carbon off your pistons and valves.Then if it still diesels...

    A Comp Cams High Enery cam may work better for what you have.HE cams are made for 10:1 comp or less,and work well with most stock components.Your best bet is to just call Comp Cams Tech line. Jim

    I would guess 450 HP.If you go with big tube headers and some head work maybe 500 HP.I would go with more card and gear.850 and 391's or 410's.If you have a high volume oil pump you better get a deep pan.If not you will suck the pan dry and wipe out the bearings...

    I had 391 gear in my Coronet drove all the way from Central Illinois to Columbus OH to the Nats.Didn't bother me a bit...Drove from MI to IL in a 69 1/2 with 410 drove it 65-70 all the way home.
