That's all I did tonight. Just swapped out that one wire and did the valve cover gasket. Also took out the battery and cleaned it up.

I was working on my '73 Duster w/ a 318. So I changed out the melted plug wire (couldn't find a new one that would fit so I used one from a spare 383 distributor I have here). Changed the valve cover gasket, put everything back together. Went to start it and it ran for a couple of seconds (4-5?)...

I'm looking for some pictures of a nice looking 318...1973 would be best but anything else would be cool. Thanks!

I honestly couldn't tell 'ya. I haven't gotten the car home yet but I am very soon. That is the only problem with it so I'm trying to figure out whats wrong with it.

My '73 (318 auto) has some starting issues. The car will not start using the igntion. Instead you have to short out the starter relay to get it to start. How can I fix it? I want to use the ignition and my key.:-D
