Who makes rims in our backspacing?

Agree, 5 x 101.6mm is what you're looking for, IF you have the small bolt pattern. I got customs from American Racing. When looking at their wheels look under "bolt pattern" and it will say "custom". The 5 x 101.6mm is considered a custom. Some wheels even have custom in their name...

    American racing torque thrust

Fit as in within the wheel well? Yes. Fit as in 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern? No, unless you have changed your rear axles and your front disc, or drum, to a 4.5 bolt pattern. If your car is stock you'll need 5 x 4 bolt pattern.

    5x4 Bolt Pattern Aftermarket Options

Yep, it took me 5 years to decide and pony up. But I was never happier than the day I put them on.

    5x4 Bolt Pattern Aftermarket Options

Look at the American Racing Wheel you'd like. Under Bolt pattern it says "Blank". That means they'll do it custom and the small bolt pattern of Mopar is considered custom. I believe you want a 5 x 101.6 bolt pattern which is the same as a 5 x 4" bolt pattern. Some wheels are named "custom"...

Is it getting old yet?? (Will it fit…again)

I'm no expert but your 4.5" backspace is the magic number for a stock rear and front. A 6" backspace with +38mm (1.5") offset should equal a 4.5" backspace if my memory serves me correctly. You may not even need the 1/2" spacer. Again, no expert but you're in the right ballpark with that I...

    15x8 w/3.75" backspace question

You didn't mention offset which affects the fit and appearance, too. Assuming its a "zero" offset, I'm betting you're good with the 15x8 fit in the the rear fender well. A 4" or 4.25" backspace is better. The appearance may be a little "pushed out" but you'll have to mount them to see the...

    Please identify these wheels

Post your wheel and tire combos.

Yes, springs in stock location. The spring clamp is within approx. 3/8" of the tire.

Post your wheel and tire combos.

Three years wishing, two years planning and I have taken the plunge. And man am I happy with my choice! American Racing Burnout with small bolt pattern (considered custom). Fronts are 17x8, 5" backspace, +12mm offset (1/2") 245/45R17 Firestone Firehawks Rears are 17x9, 5" backspace, 0 offset...

    Small bolt pattern wheel options?

ET Wheels still offer small bolt pattern. American Racing offer small bolt pattern on any wheel that show "custom" under the title "Bolt Pattern" for example look up the VN405. You can get a custom bolt pattern with a custom backspace and offset. The measurement is in metric for sizing. I'm...

    Going to 18" rims questions

You may want to read the thread "71 dart 17 inch wheels 5x4 bolt pattern" it addresses backspace etc.

71 dart 17 inch wheels 5x4 bolt pattern

I am pretty sure that a +6mm offset with a 4.25 backspace is the same as a 0 offset and 4" backspace. A -6mm offset and 4.25" backspace is equal to a 0 offset and 4.5" backspace. With the 7" wheel you likely want to stay under the 0 offset and 4.5" backspace. So the +6mm with a 4.25" is safe...

71 dart 17 inch wheels 5x4 bolt pattern

I'm doing the same on my Barracuda and have measured, measured and measured again. The stock 8.75 allows for 5.5 inches from the face of the drum to the edge of the leaf spring, then 5.5 inches from the face of the drum to the fender lip. There is a little more space than what I have said (up...

    Going to 18" rims questions

Sorry, read that backwards at first time I replied. I don't think a 35mm offset with a 5.87" backspace will work. You likely can't go any more than a 4.5" backspace on the rear and 4 - 4.5" backspace on the front of a stock suspension. You only have 5.5" from the face of the drum to the leaf...

And "American Racing Wheels" uses metric.

Where can I find this wheel & tire combo!

They actually still list a 14'' with a SBP 5x101.6. Which is super rare.

Where can I find this wheel & tire combo!

They look like the American Racing Wheel "Outlaw II" Not sure if you can get chrome but you can get polished aluminum still.

    Tire hitting fender

Looking at your pics from the fourth post. I'd say that your wheel backspace is wrong. Your wheels looked like they are pushed out too far. They should be set back in more. Check your wheel backspacing and offset. And I agree with the post that you should be able to get 225 70R14 to fit. A...

    Tire hitting fender

Stock disc brakes should fit those tires. Aftermarket disc brakes may have pushed the wheel out just enough to make it rub.

I'm running 215 70R14 all around and no rubbing. Stock brakes?

    Wheel Size Question.

No, I’m in Canada so I use an auto parts dealer whose connected to American Racing. But I did all my shopping and decision through the American Racing Wheels website.
  22. 69cudaownr

    Wheel Size Question.

Yes to that and the 225/60R15 may well rub because the wheel you are looking at pushes everything out 1/4". A 225/60R15 will fit the rear fine. You can likely go to a 235/60R15 on the rear without issue.
  23. 69cudaownr

    Wheel Size Question.

My 69 Barracuda takes a 4.5" backspace with 0 offset on a stock 8 3/4 SBP rear and stock suspension. You safely have 5.5 inches from the front of the drum to the leaf spring and an almost identical distance from the front of the drum to the wheel well lip. So your 4 1/8" (4.125) backspace with...

    Tire/Wheel Experts Help Needed

Hi Guys, I've been reading a lot of threads and comparing tire size charts. I am looking to buy new rims and tires for my 69 Barracuda. I do not want to change or alter the suspension. It has stock 8 3/4 SBP rear, stock drums up front, but I do have a set of stock discs/spindles SBP on the...

    Pics of 16" rims or 17" rims on a 67-69 A Body

    Pics of 16" rims or 17" rims on a 67-69 A Body

I'm looking to buy tires and rims for my 69 Barracuda. Can guys send me a pic of their 16" tire/rim setup or 17" tire/rim setup? I'm trying to decide on the look I'd like. I have a pic of an 18" tire/rim setup and think I might want to see a little more rubber on the side walls. Thanks
