1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

You got it! Here’s a poor quality shot of the dash. Gauges done by Redline, dash pad was restored by Just Dashes. Hard work done by Peter Bergman @ Bergman Auto Craft. New Brawler 650 carb, AN lines, filter and regulator. Proform 110A 1-wire alternator, SVT Contour electric fan with Spal...

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

Eight years since the last update... Crazy! I still have the car. Drive it in fair weather and keep it as detailed as possible. It's been completely rewired, dash and dash pad restored, brass radiator, SVT Contour electric fan upgrade with SPAL controller, Brawler 650 carburetor with Holley...

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

Thank you Tony!! TTI is pretty much the best in the business as far as I can tell. The exhaust tucks up under the car very nicely and looks as good as it sounds. The chrome tips are icing on the cake!

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

Update: This summer the Barracuda received a new brass radiator and full 3" TTI exhaust system with H-pipe and the correct tips. I chose SpinTech ProStreet mufflers, and I'm extremely happy I did. The car sounds incredible! There was also an issue with voltage fluctuations due to fried...

I haven't updated this thread in 7 months! Thanks SpeedRacerX for the compliment and sorry I missed it for so long. The update today is that it's 15 degrees here and we're expecting up to 6 inches of snow in some areas tonight into Saturday. The '67 will stay asleep for a while longer... :(

    Finished! Brutal 'Cuda

Sorry to hear about the surgeries, going under the knife is never fun (ask me how I know). You'll be back at it sooner than later, though. Nice score on the compressor!

Thanks very much, Denny. My digital camera is nothing special, but the car is doing all the work for me. Glad you liked the pics and I've been following your Duster build for a very long time now.

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

Back to the top... Still waiting on funds for the radiator install... I've got the trunk compartment all set up now (masonite board, vinyl mat, and matching tote/tool bag) and the new hood insulation pad installed with the proper clips. I have a beautiful horn ring going on too this weekend...

Getting the Barracuda back on the road

Those seats look like they came from an SVT Contour. Nice little cars for a peppy daily driver, but notoriously hard to work on. Seats are comfortable, though. :D The Barracuda is coming along very nicely.

Finally got some good pics of the hood inserts, engine bay, and new BFGoodrich white letters mounted on the 15x7 steelies from Specialty Wheel. They're Radial T/A 225/60/15 on the front and 255/60/15 on the rear, for anyone interested. Beautiful day yesterday, so here are some...

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

Well, we had a 70 degree day here in NY and it was a beautiful morning to get some things done on the car that I've been putting off during the winter. Unfortunately, I forgot my good digital camera. Cell phone pics will have to do... First, here's a pic of the 273 Commando air cleaner...

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

The rear end rebuild went very well and the car now has 3.73 gears. I installed the correct 273 Commando air cleaner and the rubber hood seals are installed as well. Although she's still sleeping for the winter, I FINALLY tracked down a very nice set of chrome hood inserts for the car. I should...

I almost spit iced tea all over my computer monitor when I clicked on this thread. I'm very sorry for what happened to your car. You're lucky to have walked away with such minor injuries. Threads like these make me very afraid to drive the Barracuda considering how many mindless morons occupy...

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

Well, I enjoyed an entire season of cruising in the car. It's just about time to put her away for the winter. Currently, the rear end is being rebuilt with 3:55 gears as the old gears were whining badly. All new bearings are being installed as well. There's an AutoMeter fuel level gauge being...

Am I nuts? 1940 Plymouth Commercial Car (Truck)

Please, keep the bullet holes in the door as a testament to the life the truck lived before you saved it. That's patina you just can't replicate, in my opinion! Love everything about the build. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks very much for the compliments! I'd love to get a cruise in some time. Shoot me a PM with your cell number if you want. I'd be more than happy to give you a hand with your car or just BS and go for a cruise. The Long Island Mopar guys have to stick together haha. Way too many Chevys out...

1967 Barracuda Fastback- Project: "Not as Nice as Tony Fields'"

I have a small, but very important update. I managed to track down the original fender tag for the car through the previous owner. Apparently, he took it off when he painted the car and put it somewhere without ever putting it back on. I stopped by his house last night and picked it up. I'm...
