    Pertronix 600 rev limiter

That is a good point you make, but I'm also concerned with being able to service the system should something fail. In 5 years will I be able to find another box like it or will I have to install something new again? I've been looking at units like you have and am interested, but I'm also not...

    Pertronix 600 rev limiter

I've yet to reassemble the wiring in my car, but I was thinking when I do it would be a good time to install a rev limiter. I was looking at the Pertronix 600 in particular. Has anybody used one of these? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PNX-600/

Electrical Problems (fuse box question) 1973 Duster

The bulkhead connector is in the middle of the firewall. It's square/rectangular and all the wires running between the engine bay and passenger compartment run through it. An allpar image of one:

Electrical Problems (fuse box question) 1973 Duster

I would check the bulkhead connector. It could be loose or have some corrosion or dirt in it.

    Keepin' it clean

I don't know for sure, but TV Tuner Cleaner would probably work well for you. There's also "Electronics Cleaner" that would work.

how do you wire the brake switch

I haven't even begun taking the old wires out. I'm planning on starting May 2 at the latest. It sounds like there may be a short in the turn signal switch. Have you had it out to inspect it?

how do you wire the brake switch

I'm thinking that you have to run that orange "Brake Switch Power" wire to the brake switch. From there the white "Brake Switch" wire goes back to the fuse panel where it just loops to the column set. There it ties into the white wire on the turn signal harness. Where the orange "Third Brake"...

how do you wire the brake switch

Huh. I'm trying to think that one out now. In the meantime, might I ask what you did with this orange third brake wire? Also, I'd be interested in where you're running these backup power and left backup wires. My guess is transmission.

how do you wire the brake switch

If I may ask another question, what are you going to do with the bulkhead connector? I'm planning on making a plate with a rubber grommet to feed the wires though.

Also, where are you mounting the fuse box? I saw the glovebox mod, but I'm not going to go that route.

I'm gearing up for an EZ wiring harness install next month, but I haven't got this one completely figured out either. I'd be interested to hear the answer as well, please update us if you figure it out.

    Electrical upgrade

I've got a phone book size manual with diagrams, but it's like reading Egyptian. These diagrams are so busy, and don't really tell you which pin is which. Oh well, I'll figure that mess out when I get it all apart. I've got most of the EZ harness figured out (I hope), but there are two wires...

    Electrical upgrade

Was messing around under the dash while removing interior and pulled down some relays. One has numbers 3588587 and 36033-K. The other has 3488904, 93596-A, and 0253. I believe the first is the horn relay (my car doesn't have a horn yet). The other, I have no idea. Anyone know what it is? There...

Fixing the fusible link from the Ammeter gauge?

A little reading will reveal that these ammeters will be detrimental to the reliability of your car. I'm not sure what you need to reconnect yours, but I know that because the factory layout has all electrial current passing through it, they tend to catch fire. I would highly recommend just...

    Electrical upgrade

Ok guys, based on the advice of some of you helpful folk, I've gone and purchased an EZ 21 circuit harness. I also decided that it's time to upgrade the gauges as well. I'll be using some Ultra-Lite II's. I've got everything together that I think I'll need, but since others have already upgraded...

    Ron Francis Retro Wiring

Anybody know what the EZ 21 harness comes with? I'm thinking about buying a bunch of Weather Pack connectors to replace most of the factory ones (corrosion). Has anyone done something similar? The connectors I'm looking at are here: www.whiteproducts.net/connectors.shtml
