I love Borla mufflers but these "Crate" mufflers are definitely a gimmick how can you tune it to a specific motor when there are so many variables But they don't sound bad here on this 440 I have narrowed my personal choices down to 3 different mufflers and heres my list maybe it will help you...

Walker Dynomax Turbo Mufflers sound great not overly loud can talk to the person next to you and no drone at any speed

TTI non tri y You get what you pay for and the fit was great for me

The summit and jegs kits are made and supplied by pypes. I have a summit sold system and it great just need a custom cut pipe to go from TTI headers to the mid pipe bout 2 ft long piece

I run the exact same system on my 74 Swinger but bought it from Jegs. Jegs and Summitt brand exhaust is made by the same company which is Pypes if i remember correctly. The system sounds great A vid of a car running the system is linked here...

Why not just remove it and weld up the hole on the manifold? or put a bolt through the holes

The Turbo Mufflers that are in the kit sound great and are loud too

The Summit and Jegs kit are great as long as you don't have TTIs. To make it work with TTIs you use the whole kit except the collectors extensions and will have to have a muffler shop complete the system to the headers. Will have to do this to install on my 74 Dart May have an H welded in as well

Don't really have good pics and motor is not installed right now to get pics but here are the few I have that are probably of no help. But my car does still have the column shift column in it and had no clearance issues

Have a 360 in my 74 Dart swinger with TTIs. Previous owner installed it with the schumacher mounts. And it still has power steering and there looks to be tons of room for column shift linkage

My 74 Dart Had TTI headers and power steering with no clearance problems at all. Was not using an angle adapter but thinkin about it when ever get another 360 for it

on a small block yea little too mellow much much better on a big block For small blocks I like summit turbo muffs nice and loud and some drone but not unbarable and i just dont like the drone from Blowmasters

Have you made a choice yet? I personally love the Super Torbos. Here are a pair 2 1/2 inchers with H pipe through HP manifolds all mounted to a mild 440 Nice rumble at idle and little to no drone but is hard to tell how much because the rear end has a howl that we cant get rid of from...

Looks good need to get mine on but will have to custom fab from mufflers forward cause I have TTI Headers and it dont come close to workin

Also had it mounted on the Dart for a short while but found Duster exhaust wont work on the longer wheelbase Dart without a lot of interference

Here is some turn down behind the bumper and can see them just barely pokin out the bottom They are usually perpendicular to the ground but had to rob the muffler hangers off for another project

It would improve it cause all the "bumps" cause restriction cause air cant flow straight through I think it would be like doin it to an intake manifold

Usin a dakota start with my TTIs dont know about dougs but full length hedman and hookers work with factory starter

Best turbo mufflers are Walker Dynomax Super Turbos. Sound great and have had them on the charger for over 20yrs and still sound good. They are loud with verylittle to no drone. If you want loud the Summit Turbo Mufflers are pretty loud have them on my 74 Swinger and they sounded great gonna...

From mufflers back it fits awesome just need to have a 2 foot section from headers to pipes to have it fit perfect the kit is nice for the price

TTIs to summit or jegs dual 2.5 in kit dont fit without custom head pipe from the headers to the pipes. Cause the kit is made for hooker headers. But I am usin this in my 74 Swinger and it was in there before and sounded awesome and almost no drone. I would do an H pipe for ease of install not...

Might be better off havin an exhaust shop makin a new one and connecting on to your old exhaust right after the end of the y in it now
