I had this problem when putting my valiant back together the booster was bad and would pull the pedal to the floor till car was off. Slapped on another we had and was good to go no problems.

Does your 73 scamp have SBP Drums? In 73 some Slant 6 Drum brake A Bodies slipped out of the factory with SBP front suspension If so you will need the BBJ Upper Control Arms and A body Disc brake Spindles

I would do this as well. But you cant do the factory 11 3/4 discs though you would have to get 15 inch wheels

Dont forget a wheel is goin over them and unless you are runnin universal wheels there will be no problems that I could think of
