It was a good day for sure! They say you shouldn’t meet your hero’s but I certainly wasn’t disappointed! Derek and Jessica are both super nice, down to earth people.

Holy ****, it is next weekend! I was thinking it was in two weeks! I better get to working on my Duster! I got headers and rear sway bar to install and hopefully do some tuning yet too.

I registered for the Grand Champion competition. Gotta get my rear sway bar installed before then.

Like an idiot, I got married on June 15th. Don’t regret getting married but it sucks that the Hotrod Reunion is ALWAYS the weekend of our anniversary. So far I haven’t talked her in to going to Beech Bend for our anniversary. :rofl:

Well I currently don’t even have a running slant car but I have 2 4 door Valiant’s and one has a slant in it so I’m gonna see what I can do with it in the next year.

Interested. Won’t be racing but may have a slant car/truck to drive there.

I may not be going at all now. If I do I'll stay with a buddy in his camper.

I'm gonna try to make it around or soon after noon but I discovered tonight that I don't have any brake lights... debating if I wanna try to drive the Duster up or not. Shouldn't be an issue it's all (4 lane from here) but you know what idiots are out there.

The motel we're lookin at is in the Reynoldsburg area. Looking it up, New Albany isn't any farther from the Nats and like you said, closer to heath. Which motel are you staying at?

Still the same organizers this year but I saw that National Trail Raceway now has new owners as of this spring and they already did $500,000+ of work to the property and plan to do a lot more! So hopefully the park itself will be a lot nicer and start bringing more people to The Nats again...

Yea we normally try booking in the fall but we forgot this year. There's a real nice motel in the east side of Columbus that I think we'll probably book. It's a 25 minute drive, oh well, I'm planning on taking my Duster so that'll be 25 minutes I get to spend driving the Duster!

A previous owner use to race my Duster there way back when. Found a time slip in the glove box from I believe '89

I hope y'all get the white tent again! The Orange/white tent 2 years ago put a weird orange glare on all the cars and made taking pics a pain.
