yes it is possible a mini tub simply splits the factory tub and keeps the outer half in place which limits how low you can drop the body and maximize tire width.

Bolt in the top shock support and the frame hole bolt location will be easy to identify and mark, then remove the support and drill the frame.

There was a member on here a few years ago building a Dart and notched his frame rails to get the K frame higher.....He could have just bought a HDK Slammer or Super Slammer to get a lower stance. He will custom make you a K frame to suit your needs. So, you are right, you probably saw that but...

Worse than this ? I replaced the rear with a Donor section and welded in .125 steel plate around the front upper control arms once I cut back enough to find good metal to weld to.

If you look at my pictures in post #9 it should give you an idea of exact location, they should go inline with the factory frame rails. I also cut the tab off mine.

Mine might not be the best example since the motor is raised 1", moved back 3/4" and I use the Slammer K...Oh one more small tad bit of info....I run B/E body headers. But here's mine anyway.

I installed mine on the rotisserie and reinforced the door opening, my rotisserie came with bolt in door bar reinforcements but you could tack weld some 1" square tubing also. Everything fit like a glove during assembly.

According to AMD installation website they charge $250.00 per side for labor, the Rails are $379.00 per side and like stated above....if you add in a trunk floor, trunk floor extensions, rear cross member...it will go up from there.

I guess the obvious question is what did QA1 recommend ? It's there product they should have the answer.

Here's a couple of the updates I just made to my HDK per Denny's recommendations. Moog ES2150RL Tie Rod ends and the latest designed lower control arm pivot shafts. Thanks Denny.

Getting back to the topic ....no one has mentioned there's about $1000.00 difference between RMS and HDK (HDK is less expensive), not to mention HDK will build you a Custom K your specific needs.

They were that way from the Factory. I re-welded and reinforced my K before Powder coating it, I saw a video of how much flex the steering box area had it was an unbelievable amount.

I made these along with tie rod sleeve's several years ago, I made one end identical to Hotchkiss and a spare end like CAP (QA1 Now). I had about $125.00 in both. I had a set of Hotchkiss to use for a sample.

Here's a couple more I found...it probably would have been easier to just go assemble it and take better photo's...if needed I will before I return it to Mark or Denny or who ever get's it next.
