he is talking driveability and you can see that with the 3.55 and 26" tire. if he was going to do a gear change he needs to figure out what rpm he can live with and then figure out what tires will fit.

my slant with no quench, 91 octane, and a 8.1 DCR dosn't ping with a locked dizzy at 30*. you have more compression but more cam as well... i think 8.3 would be fine

so between a .8OD and .7OD is 300 rpm, so 300 x .1 (10%) is 30rpm per .01 (.01 because its 10% of the above OD's split). so your looking at 60 rpm difference between a 1.57 and 1.54, pretty much nothing... all in all it has an OD, very close ratios to a 904... and the 700 is just wack lol...

oil pressure. i'll have to look and post or you can but i recall the crank sensor runs off of magnets on the flexplate/flywheel, with the sensor being mounted to the back of the head or bellhousing its self on the passenger side, about 2 o clock looking at it from the back.

well the odd thing is now that mine went again it dosn't suck oil either! mines a 97, and on the crank sensor you cant see it because its on the bellhousing if i recall...

plug wires suck and tend to arch around screwing sensors up. you need to check plenum gasket as mentioned thru the TB, if their is oil its popped. http://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/showthread.php?t=233963 Cats on these trucks collapse on themselves and really kill the motor buy some good...
