Depends on how big the part is. I've sold a lot of stuff to European customers. PayPal is what I used for payment most of the time and I never had any problems. I have had a few guys send cash on occaision - I think they were mostly Polish mobsters, though. :cwm10: I use USPS for the small...
Here's one from the cheap seats. I bought this new in 1980 - Sears 4 horse, 20 Gallon, 220V. Last year it started acting up - one of the reed valves was worn and a screw fell out. I flipped all the valves over, locktighted the screws back in, and made new gaskets out of a Bud 12 pack...
Interesting thread. I know I'm kind of a newbee here but have been into Mopars since the early 70s. This is great site but I find it kind of puzzling why some people seem to want to classify members for some reason or another. Personally, I don't think post count means diddly - I've seen people...
It looks like they threw in the towel and bailed. I'm not implying they shouldn't have - they probably know better than anyone when it's at the point of no return. I see this getting a lot worse in the coming days and feel sorry for the citizens of Japan and their neighbors. Japan is gong to...
Kool, I was just stating the fact that prices increased no matter which way you ship to Canada. As a result, a lot of people up there don't buy stuff down here and there's even a few who think it's the sellers ripping them off. FedEx Ground is probably the cheapest way to ship larger items up...
:lol::lol: You don't have a clue, do ya, dude??? I bet you're so cheap you make Rambler guys look like millionaires.
I have a track phone - I can talk to tire kickers for (like you, most likely) for about 8 hours straight for 60 bucks and 6 foot long packages don't fit in Geo...
You Canadians REALLY crack me up. I haven't sold a bumper to anyone in Canada since FedEx Ground upped the rate from about $60 to almost $120. UPS is even more - but I guess you guys expect us to eat that cost increase, too, right?
Really though, some of my best friends...
That's just ducky - you must be rich and live close to the post office.
Materials and gas cost money. I've seen the price of tape just about double in the last couple of years. Large pieces of cardboard aren't cheap, either. I'll admit I get mine free at a recycling center but I have to...
I'll agree that jacking up shipping costs isn't right once you've made an agreement. But, if you have made an agreement and you see it was less because that's what's stamped on the box by the Post Office I don't think it's worth bitching about unless it's really extreme - you agreed at the time...
Yup, your time and labor ain't worth nothin and mine is worth a million bucks. Run into those guys all the time. :yawinkle:
Gas, maintenance, and repair parts don't cost anything, either, right?
Wow - this thread sure veered off into a strange (but interesting) direction. :happy1:
I worked QA for over 25 years in the machine tool industry before getting downsized. :sad1:
I think I'll let you guys go at it rather than adding more fuel, though - it's more entertaining that way.
I sell a lot of rechromed bumpers for American cars from the 60s and 70s. 95% of my inventory are bumpers that are not reproduced - for a reason. A lot of people nowadays will shop around and find the absolute lowest price (reguardless of quality) like Chinese knockoffs and from companies like...
