    shorter fan clutch ?

The Clutch its self actually clears the radiator. Its close maybe a 1/4" but it clears. The problem Im having is that the blade hit the lip on the lower tank. I found a number for a Hayden Clutch, 2706 is 2.75" long.

    Heater Hose Clamp Problem

The 69 and 70 intakes are the same so that shouldnt be the problem. I gonna bet that the heater hose nipple is the original one from 1970 and had corroded away a bit making its smaller in diameter so the hose wont seal to it correctly.
