I believe the bracket I have is correct, Looks like the one pictured but the linkage from the bracket to the carb is different.

Hey guys, Im looking for pictures of the correct throttle bracket, return spring bracket and kick down linkage for a 73-340 or any thermoquad equipped 340. The stuff I have puts the kick down linkage at a weird angle and binds up under full throttle.

gasket bore size has as much to do with it as thickness.

Make sure the secondaries on the carb are opening. You may need to swap a lighter spring in it to get them to open fully.

your brothers car is a big block isnt it ? Your converter is was designed by Lenny for your currant combo, change the cam and it will be off.

If you go and port the heads and swap in a cam your carb will be to small, converter and gearing will be off.

LSA also plays a part in cranking comp.

Other then the actual "air gap" they are the same intake, Same ports, Same plenum. Big price difference I believe though.

A double pumper will be mechanical secondaries and have a accelerator pump on each bowl. A vacuum secondary 4150 List 3310) will only have a accelerator pump on the front bowl but still have the dual feel (a line to each bowl.)

Thats a long stick and its gonna idle high. Some guys like to idle them higher then others. To me it sounds like your converter is to tight though.

Ran a B engine version on a 383 with a mopar 484 cam in it. It was a real pig but the exhaust manifolds, 323 gears and tall tires may have been to blame for that, LOL

DI think the W2s looking stock depends on the castings The older ones look correct the newer casting dont. I just wish some one would make a stock looking aluminum head, not a big block of aluminum with some ports.

The EQs are a Magnum head replacement but better quality then the originals. They arent a big race head but a nice street heads. The RHS/Indy heads I believe are pretty much the same as the EQs.
